Car description

NO RESERVE! I have decided it's time to let go of my very clean one of one Dodge Aspen so I can find the C-body I really want. This is a super rare Aspen! According to a well known F-body specialist, only 27 halo top cars were built in 1976. 21 of those built were six cylinder cars with 15 being automatics and 6 manual transmissions. Six of the 27 cars were V8's with 5 being automatic transmissions and 1 four speed. According to his information this is the only 1976 four speed V8 halo top Aspen known to exist! The car is in excellent shape but it does have some dents from the original owner. He parked the car in his garage in 1982 and it sat there until 94 when he passed away. It was then sold to a collector that simply stored the car until 2015 when a friend of mine bought it. I purchased the car in April of this year and have since made it road worthy again. I am the second registered owner and have the original title. The only rust through is the fender tops. The original owner never had the fender recall done but did get the replacement fenders from the dealer which come with the car. I did some minor performance upgrades that can easily be switched back to original in the better part of a weekend. I installed a Comp XE268 hydraulic cam, Cloyes double roller chain, 340 red valve springs, Edelbrock performer intake and 500 CFM electric choke carb and headers. This little 318 will put you in your seat! I also replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses, belts and installed a new fuel pump. I have all of the original parts I removed including the spark plugs! This is a drive anywhere ride that gets 17 MPG. I would not hesitate to get in and drive this car to California tomorrow! Yes, it runs that well! This car still smells new inside! The upholstery is rip free and the dash pad is crack free! It has the original Mopar dealer sold floor mats. The undercarriage is completely solid with absolutely no rust through! All numbers match! This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time! Here is a link for a video of the car. http://youtu.be/4Z_RJzWvF9o Please call 401-660-7652 with any questions.
