Car description

For sale is my 1994 Dodge Shadow ES. Overall it runs well and is reliable for it's age and mileage. It has power steering and brakes, AC, sunroof, manual operating windows and locks, and an AM/FM/CD player/Sirius XM radio which I purchased a few years ago. I don't have a reserve and I'm selling it below the $1,599 price that Kelley Blue Book says I can sell it for. The exterior is pretty good looking and I had it painted in 2012 but it does have a few blemishes such as a few paint chips and a small dent on the passenger side by the headlight. Inside the seats don't look worn but it's missing the head liner and the visors look like heck, although they are still usable. A few quirky things to list is in the morning when the engine is cold it takes an extra minute or two to switch from 2nd to 3rd gear (it's a 3 speed automatic) but it's fine after it gets warmed up. I've had this car almost 7 years and put over 40,000 miles on it and it's done this ever since I purchased it so it's not a major problem. Also the brake light stays on some times after I release the parking break, the hatch back lift supports need to be replaced so I use a stick to hold it open, and if it pours out the sun roof will drip a little bit on the front passenger seat but it's fine if it's raining lightly to moderately. Since purchasing this car in 2010 I've replaced the timing belt, shocks, struts, wheels, thermostat, spark plugs, motor mounts, starter, and radiator. Good things about it is that it gets fairly decent gas mileage, it is pretty quick for a little 4 cylinder, and the radio is very good. Overall this should be a good reliable run about for a high school or college student or anyone that needs a car for local driving. It does well on both city driving as well as highway driving but I haven't taken it on any long distinct trips. This car has been well maintained and I will send the buyer all my maintenance records. The seller won't need to give a deposit but I will need either cash or certified funds before releasing the car. Also I have it for sale locally so if I find a buyer I will end the auction.
