Car description

Up for your consideration is a 1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible. This is a running, driving car that you can drive as is, while you restore, or put on a rotisserie and restore to show quality. All of the gaugeswork.Lights and signals work. Radio is present, but does not work. ...I took the car for a cruise today with the top down, and it was a real attention getter! ...Just a lot of Fun to drive! *

BODY:

Some of thebody has been repainted at some point, but the car is ready to have the body and paint restored again. Trunk pan should be replaced, but a New trunk pan comes with the car. The floor pans appear to bein pretty good condition (see pics). All 4 torque boxes are in good condition. The driver side rocker panel is rusty in front of the rear tire (New panel included too). There is rust behind the tires. The rear frame rails are in pretty good shape all the way to the rear bumper! (See pics)The front frame rails are decent, but have a small area of rust that may need some attention. I installed a New rear valance with the exhaust cutouts to accommodate the New dual exhaust system. The bottoms of the doors look ok. All of the glass is present (windshield has some scratches). The blackConvertible top material and rear glassis in very good condition! The power top goes up and down as it should. The front grill is in very good condition. Fender tag is still in place (possibly the build sheet too?).

INTERIOR:

The Original red interior is present, but needs to be restored. Dash pad has cracks. Door panels are weathered. Seats show some wear, however, I am including a NEW set of LEGENDARY front and rear seat skins, along with anew redLEGENDARY top boot! (See pics) All of the lights and gauges in the dash work!

DRIVETRAIN:

The Original Numbers matching 318" V8 engine runssurprisingly strong! ( I'mnot 100% sure, but I believe the 85kmiles showing on the odometer are original). -It has a fresh tune up and oil change. NEW true dual exhaust with New stainless R/T exhausttips. The automatic transmission shifts smooth. The rear end is an 8-3/4", with a "Sure-Grip" Posi center section ( ITHINK the gears are 3.55/1 ratio). New gas tank and fuel line. Brakes have been checked out. Radiator has been tested good. Wheels are 14" factory Rallye wheels with BF Goodrich tires. Inflatable spare tire in trunk.

OVERALL:

This car can be enjoyed and driven the way it is, or restored for show. It would make a great Father/Son/Daughter project.
