Car description

1952 De Soto Firedome
ultimate 50s Station Wagon
6 passenger / Hemi v8
az patina

VERY VERY RARE DESOTO WAGON
Prob 1 of the few left around on the planet.
Whens the last time you ever seen one in
person ? On top of it all, its has an early Hemi
under the hood. Nothing says 50s like this car !
IF You have less then 10 feedbacks, we will email you
to make sure its legit
we email you to check your sincerity on buying the car and
dont get a reply within 24 hours.. You will be cancelled and
blocked too from bidding.

We suggest viewing our auction on normal large monitors
and or tablet to get the most out of our large easy to view pics. Id prefer NO PAYPAL to be honest. Email me first before
you bid if thats your only option. We bank with BofA
which is easy for most buyers.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: TOTAL SURVIVOR
and by that I mean, its not been modded ever and
other then the 1 repaint back in the 70s, its a nice
original car thats been in AZ most of its life. Would
be coolIf you restored the interior, got it mechanically
driveable and safe, maybe some cool 20" steel
wheels on it, Id drive it just like that. OR repaint it the
original Green bottom / white top and saddle interior for
a awesome classic to have in the garage and for shows.
What I was told about the drivetrain is both motor and
trans where gone thru about 25 yrs ago and put back
into the car, but after that, the car never got finished.
The motor and trans look the part on the outside and
the source for the info is very good, just cant verify the
info, so NO PROMISES on its actual condition. Personally
Id just finish hooking up all the stuff under the hood
and get any missing pieces and try to get it running first
and see how it goes !
Mostly complete car too.

Check out the pics and more info below...thanks

DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.

DRIVETRAIN: the best we can tell this is the original
HEMI Chrysler V8 motor, matted to a manual trans. Not
sure if its a 3 or 4 spd, w or w/o OD. The tag on the firewall
may tell. (see pics too). The drivetrain was set back in
about 20 yrs ago and not fully hooked up or finished. Both
may or may not have been gone thru. I may run a small camera
down the spark plug hole to see what shape the top of the
pistons and valves look like.

INTERIOR: take a look, Az has done a great job drying out
all the interior etc. Factory radio in dash, and lots of chrome
inside actually not too bad. Rear seat folds down too. Check
out the awesome factory wood inside the rear deck area.
Looks original and would be beautiful restored.
Gauges in the cluster look great. All the glass looks to be in good
shape too and work. Rear tailgate has some rust on the lower outter
area, not horrible, but its obvious. See pics.

EXTERIOR:the body amazingly straight for its age, the
car had a total color change repaint back in the 70s from
green to the current patina white. Ive been all over the car
and see no signs of old cracking bondo or rot repair. Stainless
in good shape, chrome not so good. Doors all open and close fine,
and glass all looks good and original. Some pitting on the outter
chrome and rust. The classic Desoto grill is in nice shape. Rear
rolldown window works too. Lower missing rocker trim comes
with the car, just not currently on the car.

SUSPENSION:the suspension looks normal and very original
for its age. Its not restored, but probably be okay with a little
resto on the bushings etc. No way to tell exactly what it may
need without getting it on a rack or driving it. Hope for the best
but maybe expect the worst. Chances are its not bad. Car rolls
and steers fine, but at the time, no brakes.

Check out ALL the pics below ----->

it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.

There you have it, probably The BEST represented Wagons on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes.
Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please

Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as
much feasibly possible via pics.
Dont let auctions withlittle to no pics try to fool you.
If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they
are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy long distance.
With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect
until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
Along with ANY other questions you may have.
