Car description

Selling my 1971 Datsun 240z. Love this car. I'm the 3rd owner and purchased it last year, just haven't had time to drive it like I had hoped. IMO the series 1 is the best looking version of this car, with the looks of the Jaguar e-type and the dimensions of the 911.
Details:
  • Mileage: 229,000 miles
  • Original L24 2.4L inline-six, rebuilt at 220,000 miles by Z specialists in LA
  • Stock wheels and configuration, no aftermarket additions
  • Repainted maroon color from original silver
  • Have original badges from car if you'd like to put them back on
  • Single aftermarket upgrade is an ABS (anti-lock braking system) added by previous owner

Recent updates:Complete work over by the former San Diego Z shop (zwhiz), which is now Aero Auto (10/2017) including 4x new tires (205x14), valve readjustment, carburetor tuning, brake master cylinder replacement, replace bent gas tank line, clutch readjustment.
Stats: Runs incredibly well for a 46 year old car! Inline six sounds awesome when the carbs kick in past 4k RPM. Has some small dings (not through paint, could be bumped out) on the side and has a single crack in the dash, which happens to nearly every Z of this generation. No rust that I am aware of. Interior is in 9/10 condition for this age, and with a little TLC you could win classic car shows with this car.
This is one of the best condition Z's you'll find. Title in hand. Reserve at $17k. I paid over $18k for the car last year, and have put $3k into the Z (with receipts). Good luck!
