Car description

Very rare blue on blue, series one 1971 240z, with all matching numbers, super low vin, one owner! With Extra Race Engine and Carbs! Vin HLS30-07304 Clear Title HISTORY This car was purchased brand new in 1971 by a Vietnam Vet upon his return home. He immediately added a roll bar and and it was raced in two races in the summer of 1971 at the Mid Ohio Raceway. He left for his second tour that fall and the car was parked in his garage until early 1973. From that point forward the car was known as his Friday night car, and only driven on the weekends for dates. The only trip over 100 miles it ever made was to the Poconos for his honeymoon in 1976. It remained his weekend fun car until 1999 when he bought a new Prowler to be the weekend car. He took the 240Z out about once a month to a local flea market or to an auction. In 2011 he and his grandson decided to rebuild the car to be a vintage racer and began buying parts .Sadly, before they began restoring the car his grandson was sent away to do a tour in the Middle East and in 2015 the original owner passed away. Now to settle the estate, the car is being sold. I am techinically now the second owner. I have had the car for 6 days preparing to sell it. The Car This is and all original, unmolested 1971 240Z series one with matching numbers. VERY VERY RARE blue on blue. Vin HLS30-07304 Original paint tag is attached under hood. It is paint code 903 and has the gorgeous blue interior. Its is very hard to find the all blue cars. Also has the very rare Datson 2400 Valve cover! 101,000 miles It has original paint, engine, radio, steering wheel, seats, and so on. Body is rather nice. There is some rust on the driver side on rear fender and below the door. Passenger side is clean. I do not see any bondo or body filler. Floor pans look average. Certainly could be fixed or replaced. The frame has the typical issues. There is some rust present but nothing that can not be fixed or replaced. The car was last run summer of 2016. It turns over freely. You can tell it wants to run but I do not have the knowledge to work on it. I assume it needs the fuel system cleaned or may need so ignition work. The dash has one crack in the center, beyond that it is nice. The Extras Included is an extra race motor. I was told that this is a new old stock motor ordered from Japan and that it was upgraded to be a race motor with an L26 crank, forged pistons, and an upgraded cam. I have not taken the engine apart to find out if that is true. It is completely clean and looks brand new. Also included is extra carbs and assembly, headers, fuel tank, fuel pump, and more. I know many of you will want me to sell the race engine seperately. However, a man and his grandson had plans for this motor to be with this car and I hope that might happen. So they will be sold together. Please see all photos and let those be your description. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am willing to answer any questiosn to the best of my ability or to get more pictures if needed. I am not willing to ship myself, however if you want to arrange shipping, I am more than happy to help in loading and helping. $1,000 DEPOSIT NEEDED VIA PAYPAL WITH IN 24 HOURS OF AUCTIONS END. NEEDS TO BE PAID IN FULL WITH IN 5 DAYS NO REFUNDS SOLD AS IS I can store in garage for up to 3 weeks
