Car description

This 1975 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham with the St. Regis Option defines the difference between a car and an automobile. It is mostly original except for a correct E9 Vintage Red Metallic overall repaint about four years ago and a new padded vinyl roof. It has the 440 non-lean burn engine and the transmission had a complete rebuild about 1300 miles ago. The front pads, calipers and brake hoses were also replaced at that time. It has new front and rear U joints and fresh oil and filter. It also has four new whitewall radials on nice factory road wheels. There are no cracks in the dash pad and the carpet, headliner and upholstery are in excellent condition except for one small frayed area at the upper corner of the drivers seat (pic). The trim shop says it can be pulled and resewn. The chrome, glass and stainless are all in very nice condition. The power windows, seat, antenna and radio, trunk release, cruise control and chronometer clock all work. The fuel gauge and a couple of the instrument panel lights do not work. I have another fuel gauge but haven't had time to install it. The AC also is not working but the compressor functions and is quiet according to the diagnostic (pic). The car drives and handles beautifully. At 19-1/2 feet and 2-1/2 tons, the old gal gets her share of attention. I think the car is exceptional for being 42 years old however, it is being sold as is, where is without warranty. I have attempted to represent it as accurately as possible based on my knowledge but if I have omitted anything or if you wish to discuss any concerns in more detail, you can contact me at (412) 526-0028. Inspections are welcome. The car is for sale locally and if sold, I reserve the right to cancel the auction. A $500 deposit is required via PayPal or cashier's check within 48 hours and full payment is due by the same method within 7 days of the auction close. All shipping arrangements and expenses are to be the responsibility of the winning bidder. Thank you for looking.
