Car description

You are looking at a beautiful 1969 Chrysler Newport Convertible. This car is a fantastic Cruiser!

This car was restored in the early 1990's. The person that performed the restoration was a professional as this car still looks good. I was able to track him down and he explained everything that he did to the car.I have some photos of the process.

Car was originally Dark Green.

Car was repainted R6 Red and the paint looks great. I get compliments on the paint finish all the time. Engine was rebuilt as a high performance 383 with a new camshaft, -barrel carburetor and dual exhaust. Old carburetor was gummed up and impossible to adjust, o I replaced with a brand new Holley. Car idles and runs very nicely.

Car is in excellent shape. Body is clean of rust and very straight. It does have some small bubbles on the quarter panel over the right rear tire and on the Dutchman panel - both areas are hardly noticeable, ut they are there. I replaced a portion of the driver floor that had rusted through. Underbody is clean!

I hada New White Convertible Top and Back Glass installed and had the Air Conditioning fixed. I have also installed a new Battery, ngine Wiring Harness, nd I upgraded the Alternator and Voltage regulator to the 1970 Chrysler design. I installed a new Fuel Tank sending unit (Gas Gauge now works). New Fuel Pump.New Spark Plug & Ignition Coil,I also had the rear axle rebuilt, new pinion and differential bearings, nd upgraded the differential from a standard to an Eaton Truetrac. 2.76 Gear set was swapped for a 3.55 by the previous owner. New front stabilizer bar bushings. New Steering Gear. New Tie Rod Ball Joints. New Front Shocks.

Engine is an Original Numbers Matching Engine 383.

Transmission is the Original Numbers Matching 727 and it shifts smooth. Transmission does hesitate at cold start, ut as it warms up it performs very nicely. Added new transmission cooler lines.

I have completely replaced all brake components. Master Cylinder, ower Brake Booster, heel Cylinders, nd brake shoes are new. Drums were turned. Car stops great.

Power steering

Interior is in great shape - White Seats / Black Carpet & Door Panels. New Carpet Installed.

Exterior: Again this is a solid and straight car. However, he car does have a few minor dings and scratches that you would expect on a car of this vintage. Dings are mainly on the chrome trim and bumpers.

All electrical functions as it should with the exception of the passenger window switches. I found the correct driver window gang switch (that controls a 4 windows) and replaced it and corrected the wiringin the door. All windows work from the driver door.Passenger switches need to be corrected.

I also have many parts such as a rebuilt 727 Transmission, ront Disc Brake Swap Kit, indow switches, tc.that will come with the car if the offer isright. Trust me, havea lot more in this car than it will sell for. I am ok with that as I have enjoyed getting this car back to where it should be.

I have tried to be as thorough as possible with my description of the vehicle, ut there is a chance that I may have missed something. I have done a lot to this car. I welcome any and all questions and I welcome any vehicle inspections.

I have a clear Michigan Title. Freight and applicable taxes will be the responsibility of the buyer. Car is listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel this offer at any time. Car is being sold as-is with no warranty.

I can send you any photos that you may need. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
