1971 Chevy C10 (LWB): The most popular Chevrolet trucks with collectors are those built between 1967 and 1972. Several factors explain the collector popularity of these trucks. First, hey're just damn good looking!  To many, he lines of Chevy pickups in this styling series, articularly the 1969-1971 models, re a "classic" expression of what a pickup truck should look like. Second, ith this series Chevrolet offered truly carlike interiors,  complete with color-coordinated carpeting on the floor. Third, ll power accessories once found only on cars were now available on light trucks. A pickup from this "Integrated Styling" series could be equipped with air conditioning,  power steering, ower brakes, M/FM radio - virtually any accessory you could find on a car. Forth, nd perhaps best of all, ith Chevrolet's all-coil spring suspension, ickups of this series offered a ride as smooth as that of a  Chevy Bel Air sedan. Fifth, s an added bonus, hevrolet equipped its light trucks with a range of engines and transmission options that was nearly as wide as could be found in any of the company's car lines. Buyers could fit their  truck out for miserly fuel economy with a faithful six and three-speed transmission, r as an interstate cruiser with a high-powered V-8 and automatic transmission.  

This beautiful Chevy C10 Long Bed recently arrived from long term ownership in AZ and looks exceptional its original Chevy Ochre & White paint scheme. The previous owner had meticuluously maintained the truck and it shows. The truck fires up easily, uns strong and does good at highway speeds. We don't often recommend using classics as "daily drivers" but we think that is exactly what you should do with this truck. In fact, his truck has already seen a little over 17k miles of  pavement since the majority of the restoration was completed. Upon arrival to TX we needed only to address a few cosmetic items to get the truck to our standards. It arrived with a "work truck" steel rear bumper which we swapped for a new chrome one. The seat also had a good amount of wear on the drive side so we had the bench re-foamed and wrapped in the original parchment vinyl and houdstooth inserts it had when new. To ensure the truck was ready for new ownership we left it with our mechanic for a few days who performed a tune-up, eplaced gaskets as needed, hecked all the fluids, nd charged the A/C. The classic Chevy trucks that really retain collectibility and continue to climb in value are the ones that closely mirror the original Service Parts Identification Tag (SPID). The SPID is still present today in the inner glovebox door and  with exception of the radio, he C10 is very close to how it rolled of the assembly line 45 years ago. As mentioned, he paint color scheme is original as are the engine, ransmission, ir conditioning, ower steering, ower disc brakes, nd parchment houndstooth interior presented today.
