Car description

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION BID TO WIN THE HIGH BIDDER WILL OWN THIS BEAUTIFUL SS CHEVELLE. THERE ARE OVER 150 DETAILED PICTURES IF YOU DO NOT SEE THEM SCROLL INSIDE OF THE TEXT BOX THANKS!

You are bidding on one of the nicest fastest pro-touring 1968 Chevelle True 138 Code matching numbers SS you will ever see. It was a barn find and has not seen rain since 1972. It has had 3 registered owners with all documentation. The car was completely rotisserie restored in 2014 and every piece was bought new and most everything original was kept and stored away and is included with the sale. It is an original Y2 Butternut Yellow with black vinyl top car and came from the factory with buckets and console and was restored as such.To start off all the panels are original the car was always stored inside and as mentioned earlier has not seen rain since 1972. The entire car was taken apart every panel painted the correct Y code Butternut Yellow and reinstalled with all new hardware. The paint and bodywork are mint. No rust no waves a very deep shine no orange peel truly a show quality paint job. All of the chrome and stainless were replaced along with all the lights lenses and emblems. All of the panels are original all the gaps are perfect it is an accident free car. I have the original hood it was repainted the same Butternut Yellow as the rest of the car and all new grilles installed but it will not clear with the current head and intake set up so the cowl hood was painted Butternut Yellow and was installed but the original hood is included. The entire suspension was completely redone with new shocks new springs all new brakes new bushings all new power steering assembly if it could be replaced it was. The underneath is all original and spotless there are no repairs patches or rust anywhere. The trunk is just as nice and comes complete with full size spare and the original jack hardware. The interior was completely restored and every piece was bought new I still have the original headliner and door panels along with other misc interior parts that are included. The only parts still original on the interior are the dash which is still like new the seat belts and the steering wheel. Everything else was bought new and installed new seats and foam new headliner new door panels new sill plates new carpet new package tray new inside trim. It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line in 1968.Now for the best part powering this monster is a custom $18000 engine built by MRE (Mullins Race Engines) 396 dynoed at 720 Horse but detuned for the street running a conservative 630 horse. MRE is one of the best known engine builders and this engine was built with all of the best parts. I have a complete gallery of the entire engine build from start to finish. The matching numbers 396 was taken down everything original was kept heads intake carb etc which are included. The block was bored .30 over and fully machined ARP hardware installed the original crank was balanced and polished along with the rods the pistons are speedpro I have the originals. Engine was built to run off pump gas 93 at 9:1 compression. Complete roller valvetrain custom grind comp cam .640 lift very street friendly in comparison to others. Dart pro 1 heads with extensive port work dart intake custom tuned 950 HP carb full MSD ignition with rev limiter currently set to 6000 engine will handle well over that if desired. Ceramic coated headers exiting into custom mandrel bent 3" stainless exhaust system shakes the ground needless to say. This is just a small list of the parts put into this build but the car is extremely impressive and not for the faint of heart. Cooling this monster is a new 4-core radiator with custom dual electric fan set up and high flow aluminum water pump it does not get hot even idling in rush hour traffic.Transmission is a Tremec TKO 600 with 1100 horse ceramic clutch installed and custom driveshaft. I have the original Muncie 4-speed and it is included as well.Rear is the original 12-bolt with Richmond 4:10 gears installed eaton posi unit strange axles and high performance bearings and seals.Wheels and tires are brand new Rallys with new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. To go with the car is all the original paperwork. I have the original broadcast sheet the protect-o-plate all the documentation from 1968 to current. The original owners manual and tons more. It is one of the most documented Chevelles you will find. I also have as mentioned earlier almost all of the original parts that were removed from the car including but not limited to the original heads intake carb pistons oil pan pump transmission the original hood painted butternut yellow (would not fit with the current intake and heads set up) the original headliner door panels trim stainless and tons more.Overall I would classify this as a nice pro-touring car that was built to out perform most modern day super cars. It runs off pump gas 93 never runs hot only gets to about 200 even in rush hour traffic thanks to the custom cooling system. Has more power than is ever needed for the street and is capable of a lot more if you desire but 630 horse is plenty for the street in my opinion. With the Tremec and overdrive it makes it extremely nice on the highways just put it into 5th and cruise away. Not to many of these SS's are still around needless to say matching numbers and this documented. If you want to put the car back to original I have all the parts but it is a ton of fun the way it is and everyone absolutely loves it. I can go on for hours about every dollar put into this beautiful Chevelle SS but for more details call Frank at 863-381-3499clear Georgia title and all the documentation and original removed parts included in the auction.Car is sold AS-IS with no warranties expressed or implied inspections welcome as the car is as advertised but please schedule them before the auction end. Cleared payment due within 7 days of auction end. No 0 bidders unless you email me first or I will cancel your bid.
