Car description

The definitive ratrod. 1964 Chevy C10 ratrod in flat black. What is different about this vehicle that sets it apart is the step side long bed. Is there another on eBay? This vehicle was recently put together as a daily driver for son. in Eldon. MO. I bought it there and brought it to St. Louis as a daily driver. She's a brute. with NO power steering or power brakes. she takes effort to drive. She's 50+ years old! She's got both dents and dings as well as rust in all the usual areas. Some has been replaced already. The rockers were done as was passenger floor. Newer(old) doors (need some adjustment). She has started every time. sometimes she's a little hard to start but almost definitely because she needs to get fuel better. Runs does not sputter at lights. idles. The guy I got it from says it is a 250 inline 6 cylinder. She leaks some oil (probably valve cover gasket) and the clutch makes a little noise and the Saginaw 3 speed on the floor is vague at best. This is a non-synchro transmission. She's a looker. the flat black is fresh. The stepside longbed is an odd combo. look around. they are just few and far between. There is an "Older and Wiser" Hotrod Shop sign on both sides of bed. I pride myself on never having a negative on my eBay feedback and I've sold other vehicles here. The bottom line on this vehicle. as alot of older vehicles I imagine. she needs some things but starts. runs. idles. stops. Passed Missouri safety inspection and is titled and plated and insured currently. Like I say she's got no power steering or brakes which inevitably surprises some folks if they unfamiliar with older vehicles. This is the perfect shop truck. I have tried to accurately describe her. please ask questions and feel free to have a local agent check it out prior to bidding. I am going to try and post a video of it running. In the meantime please ask for specific pictures if there is something you'd like to see. I have recently purchased this vehicle myself so I don't know it's entire history but I can say that it starts all the time. It ran me 3 1/2 hours home averaging 60 mph. She looks good. Original era Chevy rally 15" wheels. There is some rust. dents. dings. leaks but she's cool. runs. stops and gets thumbs up everywhere she goes. Plus they literally make every single part of this truck and it costs like $12. 99. Bidders with 0 or less feedback must contact me or bid may be deleted. Please save us time and frustration. only bid if you intend to complete the purchase. Vehicle is in St. Louis. I cannot offer to ship but I can help load a truck. She'll drive anywhere but a long highway drive with her might get uncomfortable after several 100 miles. I drove her 3 1/2 hours home when I bought her and had enough for the day! She runs well but is a 50+ year old girl with dents. dings. manual steering and brakes. leaks. squeaks. rattles. chips but she is one cool truck! Very rare longbed stepside. Please ask for pics and/or questions. all answered in a timely fashion. Good luck and thanks for bidding! No reserve auction. truck will sell with first bid!Sheesh. I made her sound like a rust bucket that doesn't run! This is not the case. I come from driving an 07 Subaru so this was quite a different ride for me. There is some rust but nothing is in danger of falling off or anything crazy like that. She starts everytime. as I hear the inline 6 250 just runs and runs and runs. She can be tough to drive. there is no power steering or brakes but from what I understand it is not that difficult to install both. If I were keeping this truck. that is exactly what I would plan on. The engine could use a little shoring up. the brakes gone through and power steering added. Other than that she's really not bad. If she does not sell. I am going to keep her and add these things myself as a daily driver. Full disclosure. I am having the valve cover gasket replaced which should stop any oil escaping. the brakes gone through with new shoes. new shocks in the rear. and the hard start situation remedied this week at a trusted shop. Also. please note the tires in the last couple pictures are different as the first 2 pics. I had newer used tired put on that do not have any rake. They are the same size 15" tires.
