Car description

1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2-door coupe A-body in the classic OEM "Astro Blue"First year of first generation. very rare collectable. 68K original miles on body. Motor is newer 350 (5. 7 L) V-8 with 7K miles with specs outlined below (cost $8k new) with 3-speed turbo-hydramatic automatic transmission (floor shifter). Taken to local car shows where it receives a ton of attention. Overall ConditionBrand new safety PA inspection. If you are familiar with PA inspections. you know that this covers alot of things. All wear and tear items have been thoroughly inspected within the last month (brakes. suspension. tires. steering components) and are in good working order. A receipt can be shown from a few weeks ago totaling close to $2000 in general maintenance work to get the car ready for sale and PA inspected. including a brand new full exhaust system and engine/carb tuning. The car has no rot issues and the body is straight as an arrow with no dents or dings. The paint has a rich shine to it. The knob radio and heater work great as well. Extra set of original Monte Carlo wheels/tires from 1970 (shown in one picture) are included with the sale to return to stock if desired. ExteriorThe body is straight as an arrow on every panel and is free of dents. dings. or scratches. The paint on the body has a rich. deep shine. The car was parked in a garage and it looks that way. If you would like to see more close-up pics of the wheel fenders and underneath I can email these to you. The exterior is 9/10. people comment that the car looks good as new. InteriorThe interior of the car is original and has not been restored. although some new parts have been replaced here and there to keep the appearance looking fresh. New Monte Carlo floor mats put in within the last year ($175) and also replaced the door arm pads ($150). The seats are structurally good with working seat belts. The car comes with 2 sets of keys. Also. the heater and radio work nicely. MechanicalA good deal of work has been put into this car over the past 1K miles with receipts. The car currently has only 68K miles with the newer polished 350 Chevy crate motor (295 hp) put in a few years back with 7K miles now. The motor runs as strong as ever and you will be hard pressed to find one that feels as smooth as this through the entire power range. The transmission shifts crisply with no slipping. ($250)As far as the car's needs: overall it's a turn-key car that can be driven anywhere. Off the top of my head. the tachometer is not working (the speedometer. fuel gauge. and temp gauge work fine) and some of the interior lighting. just minor stuff I haven't had a chance to look at yet. The car is 45 years old and will qualify for antique plates/emissions exempt if you chose to go that route. Classic car insurance costs $13/month on this car for me through Hagerty.
