Car description

I am listing this for a friend. I have a 1977 Monte Carlo that's in excellent shape and runs perfect. I bought this car in 1986 and drove it through high school. When I went to college. it was purchased by a family friend and he did some restoration on it in 1988. Seats were reupholstered. new carpet. repaired rust spot on driver's side above rear wheel and repainted car. It then sat in a heated machine shed (covered) for almost 22 years (He drove it periodically in a few parades over the years). I then repurchased the car in 2010. In 2012 I replaced all the tires. new Holley carburetor. distributor and wiring. alternator. belts. shocks. springs. and all new front end components. This car has approximately 104. 00 miles on it and drives like new. It has a 400 small block engine that i had installed in 1986. The engine was taken from a wrecked 1971 Impala that had only 54. 00 miles on it. so the engine does have lower hours and runs great. It has bucket seats (driver's side swivels for easy access). center console gear shift. and factory sunroof (it does work. ut needs readjusted. as it would scrape paint if opened). The car is in excellent shape and runs/rides great. however repairs are as needed and it is not 'showroom' condition. For someone with the know-how. it wouldn't take much. I was told by my mechanic that the frame and body are in great shape with little rust underneath. Listed below are the needed repairs that I'm aware of: Sunroof needs readjusted; Paint behind rear wheel on driver's side has few bubbles; Windshield wipers work. but need readjusted. (They'll barely catch on hood when returning to 'off' position. ); Air does not work; Exhaust periodically squeaks against frame when idling and needs an adjustment (dual exhaust and in good shape); Rubber seals around window aren't bad. but do allow some wind noise; Turn signals work. but are manual. (They won't click off after making a turn); cruise control does not work. Please call with any questions or if you want to stop by and test drive. 515-478-0289 Steve. Thanks for looking. $10. 00. 00 or best offer. cell 515-478-0289
