Car description

Selling my 1955 Chevrolet show truck. This truck was finished 25 years ago and still looks as good today as the day it was done. It was built to a very high standard and has won many awards over the years. The truck runs and drives excellent and everything works as it should.
Engine and drive train
The engine is a 1990 IROC Tuned Port Injected 350 motor that I bought new from Chevrolet as a crate motor, it has 3860 miles on it and has never been apart except for the intake manifold to have it chromed. All the chrome was done by Street and Performance and still looks excellent. The serpentine pulley system and brackets are all Street and Performance items also and are all chrome. It has 19LB Bosch fuel injectors. The exhaust system is all polished stainless steel with Sanderson headers and Borla mufflers and has a nice low rumble. All or the wiring has been neatly hidden. I have had comments from people that didn't think the truck ran because they couldn't see any wires. It has a heavy duty 4 core radiator and has never overheated. The transmission is 700r4 that was completely rebuilt and has always worked well. The rear end is a 10 bolt non posi that was also rebuilt. The water pump was just replaced with a Edelbrock endura shine pump, the old was starting to leak a little.
Chassis
The chassis is fitted with a Heidts independent front suspension with tubular control arms, power rack and pinion steering, front sway bar and coilover shocks. It has 4 wheel power disc brakes. the custom built fuel tank was relocated from behind the seat to between the rear frame rails. Tires are BF Goodrich radials on set of custom built Boyd's billet wheels.
Body and Paint
This truck was built with very good sheet metal, the only patch panels are the rear cab corners and rocker panels. The box and tailgate were all purchased new. Lots of care was taken to make sure all panels lined up as good as possible. The body remains mostly stock, the main modifications are the shaved emblems and gas door in the rear fender. The tailgate is also beveled on the ends to match the bevel at the top and bottom of the tailgate. The paint is absolutely beautiful. The truck has won many awards for the its paint. It was cut and rubbed to a glass like finish and has held up extremely well over the years, a testament to quality craftmanship that went into this build. the color is called robins egg blue, very close to an original color. The bed is made of Oak and was just replaced.
Interior
The cab is fully painted inside with gray leather seat, door panels, headliner and sun visors. Also has a custom built overhead console covered in leather with an Alpine CD player. The gauges are Dakota Digital with a clock where the radio originally was. It has a Grant steering wheel covered in matching gray leather and mounted to a tilt steering column. Vintage Air A/C system keeps the cab cool in the summertime. Very nice leather bound european grade cut pile carpet covers the floor. The battery sits behind the seat with the engines computer along with speakers for the stereo, there are also speakers in each of the kick panels. there is also an on board battery charger for long term storage. The glass perfect with no chips or scratches.
