Ladies and gentlemen thank you for looking at this beautiful rare 1988 Corvette Targa with 4x3 manual with overdrive transmission. As you see in the pictures the car is in pristine condition. I purchased it from the original owners elderly nice couple in Mesa, AZ who unfortunately the owner had a knee surgery and unable to drive the car. He had dedicated a third garage for his baby. After going through an more of like an extensive interview the couple agreed to sell me their baby. They are the original owners of the car and been garaged and driven in Arizona. Therefore the car has zero rust. Also they assured me the car has not been in accident but please pull Carfax and check for yourself.
When they opened the garage I was immediately captivated and in love. The car is near immaculate. The paint is shiny and excellent and the body has no dings or dents. After asking permission I opened the driver door and I see the red sporty interior is in a beautiful condition. It has no rips and very minimal wear. I sit in the car and fired her up and the engine sounded strong and healthy. I looked underneath the car no oil leaks in the garage and no funny sounds coming out of the engine.
All the power options and buttons work perfect. too many to mention but all work. The digital cluster pixels are all in perfect condition. As I drive the car everything feels tight. The clutch shifts smooth and the car is fast! I take her on the freeway and the car accelerates quick! The real kicker is the 4x3 overdrive manual is a blast! Basically if you are on 2nd, 3rd, or 4th, you step down on the gas and dependingon the rpm the car downshifts to get you a higher rpm and more power. That is a rare option on these cars and it is a lot of fun! But be careful that's when I realizedI was already at 120 miles an hour. I took my hands off the steering wheel and the car is straight as an arrow. I tried the cruise control and it works perfect which makes it a nice for a long distance drives.
Lets see what else, oh the Bose stereois original and the owner refurbished it and the it sounds really good. Everything on the car is original including the air conditioning which is R12 which never been recharged so it will need to be recharged to blow cold. However the compressor kicksand it is working just fine. I wanted to switch it to R-134 and have it blow ice cold but I didnt want to make any changes in case the next owner wants to keep the car all original. However, if you want to switch to the AC to R-134 and have it blow ice cold I will be happy to help you out with that before you come pick it up. Basically if you hit the buy it now price I will include the air conditioning system conversion to R-134.
Besides the AC the car is near perfect and a blast to drive just like what you would expect on a low 57K miles Corvette. However it is still a 32 years old car so it is not perfect and expect minimal wear and tear. You can call me at my cell for any question at 6o2332o550.
