Car description

Super clean original 1964 Impala!Has rebuilt engine and transmission with cold air conditioning. Also has power steering and power disc brakes.Original interior is in GREAT shape, a little fading on top of the seats and small tear on driver's side back only.Original body has NOT been hacked up! Only rust through on the sheet metal is on R. front fender (size of a pencil eraser). Floor and trunk have no rust. Problem area's on these Impalas are front floor brace and body mount under fuel filler neck, this one is no different (please look at pictures). Previous owner has repaired the floor brace end on the R side. I am a paint and body man w/over 30 yrs experience, I would not replace the whole brace (just the ends). I have bought and will include the full front floor brace. This is NOT a big job and certainly does not need to be done anytime soon (maybe save it for a cold winter's day). No rust on door bottoms, rockers, frame, cowl, trunk drops, front and rear glass area or dash. Paint is good driver quality. It is old enamel and was faded. It took some color sanding and buffing to bring a shine back to it. Driver's side fender has been recently repaired and is a little nicer than the rest of the paint. It had a small dent caused when the engine was lowered and wasn't clear of the fender during removal. I decided to remove a little rust bubble on the bottom of the fender as well. It was cut out and new metal welded in. It's hard to match old paint, but it's pretty close. I spent a lot of time touching up every rock chip and scratch I could find. The car has been stored inside down south most of it's life, and is a solid honest car.
A power drilled and slotted front disc brake kit has been added.Rebuilt engine (not sure if it's the original 327, there is no VIN# on the block). It hasn't even had its first oil change yet (still has break-in oil).Rebuilt 2 barrel carb. Starts easy, and runs great.New fuel pumpNew belts and hoses w/ new thermostat and water pump.Rebuilt 2 speed power glide trans.New carrier bearingNew 15" tiresNew batteryNew A/C compressor converted to 134A refrigerantSpeedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, warning (idiot lights), cold engine light, headlights, turn signals, brake lights, emergency brakes, horn, wipers, cigarette lighter, heater and even the trunk light works as they should.Original owner's manual included.Original radio is not hooked up, but should work. Just wire to a power source.Original clock and interior lights not working (I have not checked the bulbs, I was afraid to crack the plastic lenses). Please call if you have questions. Thanks, Mike 479-228-4304.
