Car description

RARE 1925 CHEVY ROADSTER - Time to let it GO!ENTERTAINING REASONABLE OFFERSOriginal 1925 Chevrolet Roadster, two-seater with a nice clean interior. The body is solid and the top is in great condition.
This roadster sports a solid body, a clean roof without tears or holes. The car may have been reupholstered. Odometer shows 38607 miles. In addition to the unbelievable amount of records, I will also include a period jack and tools that's shown in the trunk. The tools are a recent find and will require some refurbishing. These cars originally came with wood floors and all the wood is in GREAT shape without rot or deterioration thanks to the dry storage. **The BAD** The new owner will need to replace a bulb, one headlight lens and recover the running boards as shown in the photos. Additionally, the paint is starting to peel between the engine hood and fender as shown in the photos. This will require repainting.
****Lastly, the vehicle has not been started for several years and will need reconditioning (plugs, battery, oil change) prior to starting, but it was stored with oil in the motor and a dry gas tank. I have a mechanic that I will be working with to get the vehicle in running condition but I will be less flexible on price. Offering the vehicle for reasonableoffer in current as is condition.******* 9K will not BUY THIS CAR. RARE, RARE, RARE!!! This car comes with the original title registrations from 1926, when the car was first put into service in Oklahoma and mostly EVERY year afterwards. Includes the original plates from 1925!!!!
Documents indicate car may have been restored in/around 1957 based on letter from Chevrolet, which will be included and on last photo. Based on records, this car was purchased by the owner of a former Chevrolet Dealership, Seabury Chevrolet of Yuma, AZ and brought to Yuma where it sat on the showroom floor. The car has always been in dry storage and is currently stored in Yuma and is available to be viewed by appointment only! I will arrange for the car to be shown in Yuma, AZ. The gas tank is dry and the car will need a battery. This would be an excellent vehicle for parades and car shows, as these are rare vehicles and are rarely seen, even at some of the nation’s largest car shows. The seller viewed a 1926 model at the 2019 Automobile Association of America Car Show in Hershey, PA in October 2019.
"This car sports a 103-inch wheelbase, the 1925 Chevrolet Series K carried modified version of Chevy's familiar 171-cubic-inch four-cylinder that produced 26 horsepower, and a single dry plate clutch replaced the obsolete cone clutch. Chevy engineers also replaced the car's quarter-elliptic rear springs with modern semi-elliptic units.Chevrolet axles had always been notoriously weak, and customers knew it. So a new semi-floating rear axle with one-piece "banjo" casing was installed. It was borrowed from the abandoned Copper-Cooled model.Brakeswere new 11-inch-diameter pieces, but still operated only on the rear wheels.

Finished with Duco paint in different colors depending on model, Series K bodies were a little roomier than those of the Series F. Five body styles went on sale: roadster, touring, coupe, coach, and sedan.
The Series K Superior touring car cost $525, versus a mere $290 for a Ford Model T.

To counter that difference, Chevrolet promoted the idea that its cars really were "Superior," well worth the extra dollars. Touring cars and roadsters wore wood-spoke wheels. Coupes and sedans got steel-disc wheels with 29x4.40 balloontires, for a lower look."

This is a RARE find and is a great piece of history with excellent records for a Chevy Connoisseur. HAGERTY’S CURRENT INSURANCE REPLACEMENT COST is $31,000.00.
You will not find another 1925 as well documented as this car...95 Years plus!!!
