Car description

FOR SALE! Not one but TWO 1975 Chevrolet "Cosworth" Vega cars! REAL DEAL Wisconsin "barn find" cars removed VERY recently from long term storage. Be sure to read the full listing and view all pics before you buy! These cars have been off the road for a very long time but are very cool!
I believe the Cosworth Vegas were only made in 1975-76. I think just over 3000 total were made. Had a F1 racing inspired 16 valve Twin Dual overhead cam aluminum engine, factory HEADER, early electronic Fuel Injection, 8000 RPM tach, black and gold body, cool 13" Cosworth Specific wheels, Bulge hood, front disc brakes, front and rear stabilizer bars, Cosworth numbered dash tag, plate, Cosworth Steering wheel, and more. They were fun and got great MPG! They were double the cost of a standard Chevy Vega and only $900 less than the top of the line Corvette! (this is just some fun stuff I learned about these cars that I wanted to share)
You get TWO cars as shown!
Car #1 1V77E5U23638 and has Cosworth dash tag 1072. Complete but rough. Last licensed in 1984! Has 21,163 on the odometer. (may be 121k?)Car is all there but needs an absolute complete restoration from top to bottom or use it for parts. Engine is complete and in place. I tried to turn the fan by hand and could not move it. I put no further effort into it than that. The car has a 4-speed transmission. I believe the paint is original. The body and floors have rust. Couple pieces of side chrome are in the trunk. The interior is complete and looks respectable. Has cool Camaro looking bucket seats! Glass is all intact except the windshield is broke.
Car #2 IV77E5U270856 has Cosworth dash tag 1925 and was last licensed in 1991. Odometer shows 55,390 miles. (maybe 155K? but doubtful)Car is mostly here but engine and trans are missing. Body is straight and paint looks original. Has rust. floors are rusted out. Has FIVE of the Cosworth wheels! (4 in the trunk and a full size spare) Interior is mostly complete and looks ok. Has the cool bucket seats as well.
Both cars have been off the road a very long time! NEITHER CAR HAS A TITLE! (sold with a bill of sale only) Ebay would not allow me to select that. BOTH cars have keys.
The tires are not great and really don't hold air. The guy who owns them hauled them here on and off the trailer no big problem. It will take a little extra work but nothing impossible. Just take that into consideration.
These cars are fast and fun when in driveable condition. Use them for parts OR for an ambitious restoration project. These cars will only go UP in value as there seem to be more people out there that want these cool sporty cars from the 1970s than there are cars available! They are cool and were not designed to be around 40+ years later which makes them kind of special!
Cars are located in Fond du Lac, WI (approx. 1 hour north of Milwaukee, approx. 2 1/2" hours north of Chicago) You are responsible for pickup. I can gladly help a shipper with loading if necessary. NEITHER car will run, probably needs brakes and everything you can think of for a car that has not been driven in years. They are rusty. The pics sum up the condition. I took more and can always send them. I took many pics and have nothing to hide. You may gladly look at the cars in person if you like.
Someone on ebay just sold an engine alone (Ebay item 273903681751) for $2495 that has been off the road for 30 years. Add up the value of what is here, engine, header, all the Cosworth specific parts, cool bucket seats, and there is a TON of $ value here! More than you think!
Priced to sell! AGAIN, these cars are rough and need everything! They are a cool piece of US history and you NEVER EVER see them in any condition! Whether you use them for parts, resto, a drag racing car, or just store and save them, I do hope they get a good home and something deserving happens to them that is good.
I TOOK MANY PICS! I have NOTHING to hide! A pic explains a thousand words. They are rough but real and deserve some good! I don't want you to get them and have any reason to be unhappy! Please keep your expectations real. RARE UNIQUE STUFF! If you ever think you could use or desire these, DO NOT MISS OUT!
