Full frame off restoration with well over $20,000 into this truck. Engine is a professionally rebuilt 350 with the great dart angle heads and a new Edelbrock Performer intake being fed by a new 600 Quickfuel carb. TH400 Transmission has a professional rebuild that included a mild shift kit and a rebuilt torque converter. Less than 100 miles on engine and transmission. Like most older engines and transmissions there will be a drop or two of fluid on the floor now and then but nothing to worry about. Parts built back then just don't have quite the tight tolerances as newer vehicles do. Truck started out as a longbed and I had the frame shortened by a shop that specializes in semi truck structural repairs (not some guy with an old mig in his garage!).
Here are just some of the other updates:
• 22" wheels with billet aluminum center caps
• Headers and glasspack mufflers sound amazing!!!
• 5" static drop
• New modern fuse box and pretty much all of the wiring is brand new
• New driveshaft
• New power steering gearbox
• New steering wheel
• New front windshield
• New rubber weather stripping and felt around door and vent windows
• Replaced the rockers and cab corners.
• New battery
• New fuel pump and tank sending unit
• New aluminum radiator and 2 electric fans
• New lights
• New temperature, oil, and volt gauges
• Seat was recovered and has embedded stainless steel cupholders
There are a few things that I didn't get to finish which is why the truck is not priced in the 20's.
• It's hot in Texas so I was going to buy a Vintage Air setup and have it installed.
• Speedometer and windshield wipers don't work.
• I put in a new fuel tank sending unit and but the gas gauge isn't reading the tank level. I haven't had time to mess with this as you can just knock on the tank to determine if the tank is running low!
Please note that this truck has $9000 worth of paint and body work so please don't expect a $15000 show quality paint job. There are several nicks and a few drips in the clear coat. I am selling the truck AS IS.
If you would like to see the truck in person, I'm located 1 mile outside Austin, Texas. If you are outside Texas, I would be more than willing to pick you up at the airport. I'm also happy to work with your shipping company. I do recommend checking out uShip for their shipping options. $500 deposit via PayPal due in 48 hours. Balance must be paid in cash.
