Car description

For sale is a 1974 Corvette Stingray Convertible Restomod. This Stingray has Factory Bright yellow paint and black interior. I was told by the previous owner who owned the car for 15 years that car was ordered to go autocrossing which could explain why it's equipped with no A/C. no power windows. no power brakes. no power steering and a Convertible. It's equipped more like a vintage Cobra than a 1974 Corvette. The previous owner expanded on that theme giving it far more power. better handling and an aggressive look. Under the hood this car has many upgrades. The engine was built by the previous owner less then 3 years ago and has about 1500 miles on it. 350 cubic inch main block with a 10:1 compression ratio. 1991 Corvette Aluminum cylinder heads with roller rockers and factory corvette magnesium valve covers. Edelbrock performer RPM intake manifold with a dual feed Holley 670 CFM Avenger Carb and a summit high volume fuel pump. Comp Cam. Stock air cleaner set up with K&N filter. Original distributor with crane electronic ignition and super coil and Mallory 8mm wires. Centerforce high performance clutch. The car was dyno tested by the previous owner and said to put out 410 horsepower @ 5000rpm and peak torque of 440 @ 4500 rpm. Exhaust wise it was hooker super competition long flow headers and 2. 5 inch dual pipes and terminator mufflers. This car is Loud and Fast. The exterior of the car is in good condition with the exception of needing a front bumper cover and a few scratches and chips. The most notable chip by the driver side door and that's about the size of a dime. The tires are new with only about 500 miles on them. The body kit looks great including the famous Corvette L88 hood. The interior is in good condition no rips or tears. some new interior parts have been replaced. nbsp;such as windows rollers. door handles and the door actuator locks were repaired as well. This is a very stock vette interior wise. Remember no power options. The heat also does not work. As stated in the condition description this Vette needs some work to make it road worthy again. There is an issue with the driver side driveshaft. it's leaking and the shaft itself needs to be looked at. The brakes need to be bled and a new front bumper cover is needed. The car was NOT hit. The bumper cover was damaged in transit. (I have a bra on it for now) Also the battery box has some rot underneath but it's very secure and the underside of the car is in good condition. The car starts right up and before the drive shaft issue could be driven anywhere without issue. The car would need to be towed or shipped and can't be driven until the driveshaft is looked at. This is a really fun Stingray. I have other collector cars I'm working on and I've decided to let someone else finish up this one and enjoy it. Won't take much. The motor alone makes this car worth the little TLC it needs. I have a stack and I do mean a stack of receipts that go with this car to keep the paper trail going on it's history and recent work. It has a clean NYS title. Note: The car spent most of it's life in California though. Feel free to ask any questions. I'll do my best to answer them. Please keep in mind while this car has had some work done and looks great it is 41 years old. Don't expect a showroom corvette to show up at your door step. Car is being sold as is with no warranty. Please ask questions prior to making an offer.
