This truck checks off just about every box that I could think of. The ultimate two tone, round eyed, square body, that is ready for daily driving anywhere. This iconic truck sat in climate controlled storage in Central California most of its life, and now resides in my garage in Southern California. This truck is as clean as they come and is sure to please for generations to come.
Sporting a healthy 350 with upgraded intake and 4 barrel, she gets up and goes in the left lane all day. Dual exhaust with new maganflow mufflers provides just the right note. Not too loud in the cab, but you'll know its a powerful V8 when you put your foot in the carpet. The trans is a TH350 and she handles freeway speeds with ease. Silky smooth shift points, its a pleasure to drive. Power disc brakes up front provide dependable stopping power. Belltech suspension upgrades provide a smooth ride and just the right stance in my opinion. New Moog components in the front end and a fresh alignment were done last week. The wheels are OEM rallies, painted frost white with new beauty rings and center caps. The rear wheels feature Yukon spacers to even out the stance. I have followed the proper re torquing requirements as specified by manufacturer and they have not budged at all. I have laid some rubber from time to time, and there has been zero issues using the high quality Billet spacers. These square body trucks had a slightly narrower rear track and they look a bit odd with stock wheels in my opinion. I did not want to go aftermarket, but you certainly can. The driveline is very smooth. This truck is very dependable. She's never let me down and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.
The paint on this truck is just beautiful. Its absolutely a show winning paint job. It was a frame off restoration and was taken down to bare metal. This truck came from the factory in this color combination, and the new paint is far superior to anything GM was doing in the 70s. I will include pics of the restoration with the truck. The frame, under side, fender wells and all running gear was properly prepped and painted. Worthy of sliding mirrors below her at a show. Countless hours went into prepping the metal. She started as a clean California pick up and was built and finished to to be a jaw dropper. The engine bay, door jams, hardware, and the bed were all painted with attention to detail. All of the chrome and trim are excellent, all of the rubber and glass is stunning. No surprises here, just a great paint job that a pleasure to wipe down and polish on occasion. The bed is just about perfect. I use the truck to haul my mountain bike and surfboards from time to time, and there's a few little knicks but nothing worth fixing, its a truck after all. The truck comes with a custom tonneau cover in frost white. It is in excellent condition and has been proper stored as I do not use it. The heavy duty rubber mat is also included in the sale.
The interior is a true 10 out of 10. The rare bucket and console combo is in showroom condition. The carpet and mats are beautiful. Dash pad is like new, door cards are like new. Seat belts excellent. This one stands out in the crowd, very rare to see the buckets. The dash is in excellent shape and all gauges work as they should. The ice cold AC has been converted to R134 for easy maintenance for years to come. The radio works great, I dig the AM/FM knob controls.
I have done my best to describe the truck and I have provided 90 photos and a high definition video as well. If you have questions please ask. My cell is 760.822. zero 2 six 9. (robo calls suck) No warranty is written, expressed or implied. Its a 42 year old truck that has been restored, but it is not perfect, although pretty darn close in my opinion. I encourage local inspection and I can accommodate most requests. $1000 non-refundable pay pal deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Bank wire or cash in person is acceptable for remaining payment. I have listed the truck locally and reserve the right to end auction early. Most of my trucks go before auction end so don't wait to bid and please contact me with any questions. Truck is titled in Arizona. Good luck!
