Car description

An iconic color, Rock Crusher four-on-the-floor, and a juggernaut of big block power under the hood... This restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro knows how to look the part of a powerful classic, and it has all the right muscle to back it up. Hugger Orange is THE first-gen Camaro color for most of us. And because the '69 was the most aggressive design of the generation, it's awesome to have the most aggressive color on it. But more than... just the ideal look, what you'll really love is the quality. Camaro Specialties did the restoration, including the professional respray featuring the vibrant modern clearcoat. They made sure that the panels were straight, the gaps were uniform, and the brightwork was shining. Plus, it has the all the right look of a Super Sport with the super scoop cowl hood, front air dam, full-width rear spoiler, and the black hockey stick stripes that looks awesome against the orange. It has a true vintage muscle machine attitude, but it you look closely, there are a few wise subtle improvements. For example, the Rally wheel package is a large 17 inches. They fill the wheel wells nicer and allow for modern performance rubber. If you like the way the black stripes look against the exterior, then you'll love the all-black interior. The bucket seats were recovered, the carpeting is plush, and there's some premium wood-like trim to make this a nice place to spend some time. But the real impression you get from this Camaro is that it's a true driver's machine. The center console with Hurst shifter boldly stitching out, the full auxiliary gauge trio, and Chevy's sport steering wheel with bright tach mounted on the column all come together to give you the tingle of performance even before you twist the key and hear this one roar. While the restoration is from only a few years ago, the monster under the hood is even fresher. The callouts might say 396, but you're looking at something quite larger. It's a 454 cubic-inch V8 bored .40 over for a total of 468ci. This is a performance motor built by Arnold Hinson only about 1,000 miles ago (it's only on its second round of break-in oil!) The full build includes a large Quick Fuel 800 CFM double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, Weiand intake, Liberty aluminum heads, and an aluminum radiator to help keep it all running cool. The Hedman headers add even more power while also contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. The consignor states the motor was a $8k investment alone, and that it's rated around 500 hp. And you have complete control over the fury and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to Muncie M22 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. Power is then sent to a stout 12-bolt rear end with versatile 3.73 gears and Positraction. It's easy to harness all this power with features like newer springs, power steering, disc brakes up front, and Lakewood traction bars in the rear. This Camaro has an instant presence of big power and a monster under the hood provides the muscle to back it all up. That makes it an awesome muscle machine that really delivers. Call now!
