Car description

I have up for auction a 1971 Chevy C-10 Long Wheel Base Truck with out A/C. This truck is a roller. with NO motor. which would make a great project or shop truck. The truck seems solid. but will need some metal repair. The passenger rear bedside panel is solid. but the driver side rear bedside panel will need a little work on the lower section (see picture). The driver side front under cab support will need some re-enforcement or to be replaced ($13. 95 http://www. lmctruck. com/icatalog/cb/full. aspx?Page=23). as well as the rear cab floor crossmember ($150 http://www. lmctruck. com/icatalog/cb/full. aspx?Page=23). There is a small section of the frame near the driver side rear tire that will need some re-enforcement also (see picture). The hood and radiator support seem to be solid. The hood does work well. as far as raising it up and down. the hood just needs to be adjusted a little to close it completely. The doors open and shut properly; but they will need some patches at the bottom. The top of the cab seems to be pretty solid with minimal rust along the drip rail; but there is some patchwork already done to the roof that may need to be to sanded and smoothed out a bit more. The bed is pretty solid with minimal rust holes in 2 or 3 spots along the edges and along the right wheel fender. The windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced and of course new window seals throughout. The cab floor is solid with minimal rust near the passenger rear panel and a repaired driver side kick panel. The front and rear wheel housings all appear to be in good shape with no obvious signs of major damage or rust except for under the battery tray. Now on a more positive note. the tailgate opens and closes just fine. The original wheels. seat belts. jack. dash. radio. radiator. heater. valve covers. nbsp;alternator. water pump. horn. fly wheel. timing chain. timing chain cover. fan and fan shroud are all included. Basically everything is there except for the motor. exhaust. starter and carburetor. The transmission is a 3 speed Saginaw. not originally from the truck. but from that era and is a compatible 4 bolt main. The truck has had a coat of primer applied a few years ago to help protect it from the elements. but it was not done professionally and will need to be redone. It has a few chips in the paint but overall it is in great shape. The truck has a rear sliding window. the original rear step bumper. HD front springs. HD rear springs. and a 67-70 front bumper. The truck has been sitting for about 3 years and currently sits under a tarp in my back yard. which is the best I can do at protecting it from the elements for now. I have the title in hand and the truck is ready to go. As far as shipping goes. I will not deliver. If you live nearby and want to pick it up you are more than welcome to do so. For those of you interested in using a tow dolly. the tires are inflated and the truck rolls fine. If you would like to use the services of Uship. I invite you to do so and will make myself available and as flexible as possible to meet with the transporter to pick up the truck. I have described the truck to the best of my ability. If you have any other questions or would like me to email you more pictures. please feel free to contact me by email. call or text 951-282-1215. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!
