Car description

This is a local Detroit history car, this car is a 1974 Corvette coupe but hard to figure out the exact year with so many body mods. A 35 year project of Bob Larson the builder who wanted a custom twin turbo car to showcase his after market bolt on turbo kits that he had started making in the mid 1970s. The car started as a total. The damaged car was put on a new factory GM frame and a Greenwood "wide body" kit was installed but Bob was not happy with it so he had a clay modeler friend redesign the body, make molds and parts, install the new parts, he also had a new 1980 fast back rear window installed. The car was widened 12" and no longer has rubber bumpers, new quarters, doors, and fender parts were made, Interior is stock 74. Most of the trim is copper or brass plated, with some of it being 24K gold plated, Bob liked the contrast. the exhaust side covers are Bob's own design. The twin turbo driveline is a 4-bolt 350 engine, balanced and blueprinted by Carl Holbrook of Holbrook racing fame, ported and polished heads,Blow through 750 Holley carb, all new less than 1 mile on the drive train, 400 turbo is rebuilt, 4-link and coilover rear. 0 miles on car, stainless lined brakes, new gas tank, alum rad.The American Pickers were here in September of 2018 and I sold them the EJ Potter drag bikes. Frank drove the car out of my garage and the car was used in the commericals for the show. Sadly we could not come to an agreement. This was a 35 year project by Bob, he had a tubing fab shop and custom made headers, he was on the Ford Indy race team in the 1960s and made headers and intakes for the Ford team. I have owned the car since 2012 and was the first to drive it since 1977! I have not driven this car on the road or shown it in any shows, some things that will need attention are; wipers not hooked up, radio doesn't work, needs a hose run to the waste gate, headlights won't close but all new headlight door parts on the car, and it needs detailed. I'm sure it will need some minor adjustments as with any new car build. I'm trying to finish my projects before I'm gone, if you watched the program you saw a few of mine I need to finish. I have 7 years and lots of money in this car, I had it painted, engine and trans assembled, brakes and exhaust installed. The asking price is what I have in the car it's over 20k to just have one painted today! Ebay will not let me put my phone # in the ad, so ask any questions, I'll do my best to answer them. See vin. More photos on facebook. $80 K invested in this car!
