Car description

For sale is an untubbed, unmodified 1973 Vega GT Kammback wagon with original 4-cylinder engine and 4-speed transmission.
No reserve auction.

It runs great. I've used it as a daily driver run around town parts-getter for several years now. It is a good 20-footer, but really should have what little rust shows in the pictures repaired correctly and be repainted. I'm just not going to get to it. It will not embarrass you as is.
I had it listed here a couple of years ago and it did not sell, so I just kept using it. Since then I have installed the 4-speed (it had a manual 3-speed, something I'd never seen in a GT Vega), installed new racing seats and carpet and the correct fuel pump / sending unit. I put on 4 new tires and found a correct GT rim for the spare. All the instruments work. The clock is not accurate. I installed a 12-volt outlet so I can use a GPS unit or cell phone charger.
The 4-speed made a world of difference in how the car drives. It's a lot of fun.
I encourage anyone interested in the car to inspect it and drive it before bidding. Car is located about 10 miles east of Shreveport, LA. Clear title in my name. I prefer cash on pick up, but in any case, neither car nor title will be released until I am satisfied with payment. (translation —- don't show up with a check and expect to leave with the car). Obviously, it is a 46-year-old used car. There is no warranty expressed or implied. The car is sold as-is, where-is.
For more information call Tom at 318-382-3337, but be prepared to leave a message and I'll call back. There are way too many robo-calls coming in and I won't answer when the caller ID says "unknown caller”
$500 deposit required within 5 days of auction end and winner should contact me within that time to discuss final payment and pick up details. Thanks
