Car description

This 1989' Chevrolet K5 Blazer is serious. Seriously powerful, seriously capable, and seriously good looking. You can drive it uptown where it will turn heads or drive it out into the middle of nowhere to clear your own. Read through the basics presented here, then come on down to get the rest of the story and check it out for yourself. Describing this truck from the top down seems like describing the icing on a cake first.... It has received a solid restoration, with great stuff on the inside, but the icing is what you see first. So... how about that slick two-tone paint? It seems to be saying go big or go home as it flows up and over the giant hood and highlights the body crease that is at eye level now because of the lift kit. Most of the chrome, trim, and brightwork is newer and really pops, including the KC lights on the front bumper, mirrors, and most of the glass. The paint-matched removable hardtop makes for some nice open air 4-wheeling while keeping any water from rain or splashing through the creeks from getting the driver and passenger wet. Blacked-out step bars match the Mickey Thompson wheels, and the lift gives the whole truck an even more aggressive look, as if it needed any help in that department. The handsome gray vinyl interior is also in great condition, comfortable bucket seats, plush carpets, original door panels, and a dash pad with a matching fabric cover on it, because like almost all of these, the original pad has a couple cracks. The original gauges in the dash were swapped out for white-face aftermarket units that look crisp and clean, and they're surrounded by a new or restored bezel. Because this truck hasn't been extensively altered from original spec inside, still sporting the original steering wheel, and a long list of factory options like power windows and locks, a tilt wheel, a center console, and R134a A/C make this Blazer as much luxury vehicle as trail-runner, and if you really want to attract attention, try making this your daily driver! An updated Kenwood AM/FM/CD/AUX/Bluetooth stereo was installed, and it powers a booming system that's wired throughout the K5, highlighted by the big MTX subwoofer in the rear cargo area, so no worries there if you like to blast tunes and want the neighbors to know it too. Full-sized Blazers also give you a massive cargo area that's fully upholstered and offers enough room for all your gear on a weekend getaway. There's still a small block Chevy under the hood, but this one is a replacement 350 V8 that was built and installed in 2017 and has approximately less than 6k miles on it now. It looks quite stock and as many OEM parts as possible were retained, including the serpentine accessory drive, TBI system, and stock-style valve covers. The A/C system has been converted to R134a refrigerant and it fills the cab with cold, fresh air, and a new radiator keeps the engine cool. There's a fully serviced 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission driving a two-speed transfer case, so it's equally at home on the highway or in the dirt, and a hearty rumble bellows from the header-fed dual exhaust system that has Glasspack-style mufflers and even retains catalytic converters! The suspension has been set up to accommodate the large lift, and the Blazer sits on massive 33-inch Mickey Thompson all-terrain tires wrapped around 15-inch Mickey Thompson bead-lock wheels. Seriously powerful, capable, and good looking. Come on down and check this truck out, it's very impressive and check all the right boxes. Call today!
