Car description

This is a 1980 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The end of the C-3 era. I bought this 3 years ago from a seller in Orlando, Fla. and trailered it home. He had the car built by Corvette Masters, Inc. in Maitand Fla., and Capitol City Auto Restorations in Madison, Wisconsin as a father-son project when the car had 86,000 miles. They spared nothing in the build. I bought it with 88,313 miles showing, and it now has 91,051 miles. It is a T-Top, a metallic dark gray with Oyster White leather interior. It is a small-block 4-speed, runs flawlessly. Headers and custom exhaust, great sound when you get into it. It is a fast car, solid and responsive. It might have 5,000 miles on the recent build. The spec sheet I have says the engine from Jegs was a base horse of 355, with 405 lb/ft. It has everything new, brakes, suspension, interior, transmission, bushings, everything is new, they really went over it. The former owner did not do the work himself, he simply wrote the checks. I spoke with him at length when I was considering the purchase, and was convinced when I found that the Corvette shop did all the work. I have all the invoices stacked up in a pile from the build, everything has a receipt and price. At 86,000 miles, an invoice for $7,233for R&R, engine, rear, suspension, and brakes. A zz4 GM longblock from Jegs and related parts: $8,031. Additional engine upgrades: $1067, and front end rebuild: $1982. Brakes: $493. Exhaust $650, Window tint and stereo:$968. Oyster White interior parts: $4,000. Clock, you get the idea. I have several of these C-3's, I just bought a drag-type 1979 in Akron 2 weeks ago, so I am letting this one go. Turn-key, drive it home. Paint is an 8 at best, no body damage but some scratches and minor chips. Nobody is going to walk up to it and say "Too bad about the paint", it will pass a casual once over. Interior is excellent, motor runs perfectly and cool, shifts solid, great tires, headlights work fine. Two issues; The right rear rim center cap was lost the other night, fell off somewhere. The power steering will leak on occasion, sometimes it won't leak at all, sometimes it leaks. It only leaks when parked for a while, like a few days or more. There is a small hose clamp on it, that might be the problem, I have not had the time to investigate. I am located near Gordonsville, Va. I am about 1 hour NW of Richmond, Va. I will not ship this, pick up only. It is being advertised in several other venues. $500 non-refundable deposit required within 24 hours of purchase, balance due in 7 days.
