Car description

I've restored numerous antique vehicles in my spare time. The last one I finished was on eBay last week and the bidding did not get close to what I had invested in it. For that reason, I've decided to sell what was to be my next project. This is a one family owned 1988 Caprice purchased new in the Richmond areas. The original owner stopped driving in 2010 and passed away in 2013. The car has been off the road since 2010. With fresh gas and a little bit of work, the car is running and driving. The engine sounds great with no smoke or odd noises. The transmission shifts smoothly on my test drive. However, this is not a car you want to jump in a drive home. The tires have dry rot and the belts squeal. It is also missing the driver side wiper arm. (I have ordered a replacement and it will be included in sale)The headliner is sagging, horn and a few other accessories are not working. Could be a fuse, but I have not investigated. The bumper fillers are bad, but I have a new complete front piece and rear corner fillers in the car. The center section for the rear has not been ordered. All these parts are new and need to be painted and installed and are included. The interior, other than the headliner, is in good condition. Non smoker, so seats are nice. No cracks on dash. The odometer shows 79k but the family did not know if it was original. The wood grain is in good shape. Paint is original and in fair condition. A good wax would help. All lights and power windows work. This is a no reserve auction. The car is 30 years old so do not expect a new show piece.
I checked the fuses today and found one had been removed that controlled the horn, interior lights and a few other accessories. When I reinstalled it, everything seemed to work but the power antenna motor ran nonstop. I'm sure this is why the fuse was pulled.
Car is available for inspection PRIOR to bidding.
