Car description

The 1966 Corvair Corsa Convertible was the least produced Corsa during the 2 years that Corsa was available. With only 3,142 manufactured, that number was well below the '66 hardtop (7330) and the '65 Corsa (8353) Every Corsa was equipped from the factory with a 4-speed manual transmission and 4 single draft carburetors which produced 140 hp.The car I'm selling has the 4-speed stick, but the prior owner retrofitted 2 single draft carburetors in place of the original 4.

The seats were reupholstered to the original standards.Unfortunately, our cat was locked in the garage one night and in retaliation for being locked up, he clawed holes in the top of the rear seat, and a few more in the top of the passenger seat. The carpet looks good, the tachometer works, the speedometer worked up until last year, the heater works, and with the exception of a cup holder between the front seats, it's all original.I tried to take as many pictures as possible to give buyers a good idea of the condition.

There is the obligatory oil drip from the crankcase, but the engine runs strong. The previous owner used it as a daily drive and I drive it about 2-4 times a year (Classic Car Insurance restricts the driving). The CONVERTIBLE TOP is NEW.And the radio looks and sounds great.Brake lights and directional signals are all operational.I had the wheel cylinders replaced in the front a couple of years ago.The trunk in front has some surface rust and there is some rust around the bottom of the windshield and on the panels in front of the door and behind the door. This was a California car, built in Los Angeles and kept there until I brought it to Texas upon my retirement.I am selling the car-as is-and I encourage anyone interested to make the trip to see it in person and take it for a drive. If you have specific questions or want specific pictures, let me know.
