1967 Chevelle Low mileage, original car, low reserve!

You are viewing my 1967 Chevelle. This was supposed to be an addition to my 1969 Camaro that I have dedicated to the Wounded Warrior Project charity that supports our severely wounded troops. Unfortunately. I was laid off from work and cannot start and ultimately complete this project in time for the upcoming year of events. I am listing my car at a low reserve to give someone the opportunity of buying it for a fair price-hopefully allowing them to finish it in time to enjoy this Summer. The car is just as it was when I bought it from the second owner. it was a race car back in the 1970's. The original 283 was taken out and set aside. Sometime in the mid to late 80's the car was off of the road and was sold in mid 1996 to the gentleman I bought it from. He put the original 283 back into the car and used it from time to time until he got sick in 2011. It was more of a weekend car. hence the low miles on the engine /car. Unfortunately he didn't have the car garaged the last 5 years or so and the rain / salt took a toll on the rear quarters and the trunk pan. The car will need at least lower quarters and a full trunk pan and gas tank straps/mounts. and due to that. the gas tank is presently mounted in the trunk. Despite the body work needed. the car is really straight-looking down the sides. not all wavy from bondo. Quarters and doors are original. The rear floors and mid floor sections are all solid. The drivers side will need a patch and the passenger side will need a small patch as well. but with the low cost of front floors pans. I would replace them to do the job right. There are a couple of spots to patch on the drivers rocker panel-no replacement needed. There are small mounting holes down each side where the side molding was. The doors are solid and open/ close solidly as they did when new. The front fenders are solid as is the roof of the car-with no holes or rust. All glass in the car is in really good shape and all windows go up and down easily. The car sounds really healthy and doesn't over heat. has good oil pressure and the engine runs very well. The transmission shifts through all gears as it should. The car runs. drives and stops. but still has the higher stahl speed convertor that I would replace to make it more streetable. The car was converted to front disc brakes and stops well. All lights work- front parking lights have to be connected. Wipers work as well. All trim on the car is in good condition. the only piece missing is at the top of the drivers side windshield. It needs new carpet and a headliner. There are new window felts and rubber included. All new tune up. with new wires and sparkplugs. ****The car deserves to be restored the right way. it is the highly desirable Marina Blue. built the 2nd week of November 1967. I wish I could've finished the Chevelle which would've fit some of the wounded warriors a little more comfortably. but things happen and I am still fortunate to have the Camaro.
