Car description

Owned by the same guy for 30 something years. He installed a crate motor in 1980. hence the low miles. No weird smoke or BS. It runs great. starts right up. Drives down the road like it should. Brakes. turns. even the wiring is good. Like I said. you can get in and drive it home. Here's the bad. but not horrific. The truck has rusted sides and roof. Flat sheet metal patches in large panels will take car of the rust on a lot of it. Windows would make that job easier. This project will require welding. It is rusty. THIS TRUCK IS VERY RUSTY FROM THE BELT LINE UP!Chassis and bottom look normal for a 1949 truck. Apparently he admitted the spray foam he added also held moisture and water. It is causing the Side panels and roof to rust. I have some new metal. and even planned to install side windows. but I think it is best sold as a panel the way you see it. I secured a full sliding sunroof clip from an old Mercedes. so the metal thickness is similar. and that would take care of the roof patches. Goes with the sale if you can figure out how to ship it. I can offer full delivery on this truck. almost anywhere isn't he world really. Cracked drivers window. affects nothing. Bench seat is tattered. Wood in back is original and still decent. Passenger door lock does not work. window is not able to move. drivers side works with some effort. 4 speed on the floorfactory motor replaced in 1980 with a straight 6 direct from Chevrolet. Older tires. but good tread and usable as is. factory 2 piece 17 inch rims. brakes work start right up. and when it is cold out. pull the choke all the way. and then it cranks up. Id say low miles on the engine since it was replaced back in 1980. I'd scrape all the foam. treat the metal. or repair the holes. Blend the paint and use as is with all of the original and wonderful patina. Thumbs up no matter where you go. Rolling advertising! Yeah. you can move it daily while posting a graphic or vinyl sign on the sides. makes a real cool hauler!1) Can I drive it daily? Sure. why not?2) Do you have a clear title? No. as Georgia is a Bill of Sale only state with pre 1985 vehicles. I can sell you one for $500 and it takes 30 days if you need an actual title. 3) Local pick up and storage? Ill give you 20 days to move it. I don't insure or warrant anything. It will be stored on private property. 4) How bad is the rust? I told you it is bad. Swiss cheese all over the roof and sides. BUT yes. it can be fixed. Its mostly flat sheet metal.
