This is one drop dead GORGEOUS solid axle car and THE VERY BEST YEAR OF THEM!!!WHITE ON RED a brilliant color combination!1962 was the last year of the solid axle Corvette which just in itself makes them very sought after. For whatever reason it seems the first and last year of a run are the true bread winners. As in the midyear cars the 63 and the 67 are the most desirable!!!
This is truly a GREAT CAR she has had a 33 THOUSAND DOLLAR restoration bill (PAID FOR) a couple years back. The receipts spent to restore her will pass to the new owner. She has only clocked around 1300 miles since. She is as close to new as possible!!! She has awesome paint, and interior and she runs and drives just incredibly well!!! She is a hardtop only car, never did have a soft top. One could choose which one you wanted when new. Hardtop versus soft top. She definitely appears to be a no hit car and she is just as nice underneath as she is on the top, an almost no fault car, she is simply BEAUTIFUL!!!!
When the car was restored the ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBERS MOTOR HEADS ETCwere taken out and completely rebuilt!! It is virtually like a brand new motor with a receipt from the engine shop. SO the buyer has the option to have not one, but two engines or we will pull the 327 which is in the car and install the MATCHING NUMBERS engine. To have both engines will cost 2500.00 up and above the sale price. The one thing that must happen is that the ORIGINAL MOTOR MUST GO WITH THE CAR, THEY MUST STAY TOGETHER!!!NO OPTION ON THAT ISSUE!!!!
There are truly no known issues with this solid axle 62 she runs and drives as new. All gauges work as they should including the Speedo and the all important Tachometer.
