Car description

Up for sale is a running. driving 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Coupe. It has been a California car its entire life. In speaking with the prior owner I found out the following information. He bought the car in July of 2002 from the son of an elderly woman that bought the car new. She had always kept the car in the garage. The son sold the car in 2002 after it was garaged for 25 years. It then sat in the gentleman's garage from 2002 until just recently. He had intended on restoring the car but just never got around to it. He did. however. replace the brakes and wheel cylinders. The car fires right up every time and runs like a clock. The odometer reads 000000. I asked him about the odometer and he told me that he believes the odometer/speedometer and clock were rebuilt at some point before he got the car in 2002. He came to that conclusion because they both look like new and he had sent the speedometer from his other 41 Chevy out to have it rebuilt and it came back with 000000 as well. It has one repaint in its original two tone green colors. It appears to be lacquer from possibly the 60's or 70's I am guessing. It still shines very well as seen in the pictures. The interior was recovered in naugahyde at some point. The interior is in great shape without any tears or rips anywhere. The headliner is original. There are an extra set of sunvisors in the trunk. The original radio is also in the trunk. I do not know if it works but it definitely is in need of a few of the buttons being replaced. The original spare wheel and jack are in the trunk and there is some sort of a mud and snow tire mounted on it. The engine is the original 216 6 cylinder per previous owner and it has a vacuum assist 3 speed manual transmission that works flawlessly. I drove the car home over 50 miles. I have several pictures posted. however. if you would like a picture of anything specific please contact me and I will get it to you. I will assist in getting the car transported if you are not local. Transportation cost is the buyers responsibility. I have the car listed outside Ebay as well so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The last picture is of my 36 Ford 3 window coupe that I am selling as well. I can be reached at (916) 870-4600. My name is Tony. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. Good luck bidding
