Car description

Nothing brings you back to 1957 like a Chevy. They had style and room for friends to join you on a cruise. They are, of-course, one of the most popular cars of all time for street rodding with hopped up engines and modern conveniences. This is a gorgeous example in Maroon paint that was professionally done and is dripping in shiny new chrome. Big chrome bumpers and rockets on the hood may be a couple of the... reasons these cars have been so endlessly popular. The bumpers, and all the chrome, look like new on this car. The Gold Chevrolet in script on the front of the hood looks great against the Maroon as do the other Gold accents on the car. Another possible reason for their popularity could be that they look so good in two tone paint, and the Maroon with White on the rear quarter panels really highlights the cars lines beautifully. Proper preparation was done before a drop of paint was laid on it and it shows in the straight panels with consistent gaps and paint with no blemishes that we can detect. Chrome brightwork starts on the front fenders and runs down the side of the car echoing the shape of the rocket on the hood. Taillights are set in the ends of the fins that are trimmed in chrome and rectangular exhaust tips peek out from under the rear bumper. Open the door and you will find an interior done in comfortable Black cloth upholstery. The door panel itself sets the tone with a tasteful buttoned top panel and smooth center panel divided by chrome piping with polished window cranks and door handle. Have a seat in the super comfortable split bench and grab hold of the leather wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel mounted on a tilt column. Check out the speedo and gauges which are set in a panel that has been polished to a high shine and underlined by an aluminum panel that runs across the dash. An AM/FM/radio sits in that panel with a CD player mounted in the trunk for your listening pleasure. To keep you cool, the controls for the air conditioning along with the vents are mounted in the lower dash. A custom center console has a set of white faced auxiliary gauges mounted just over an equalizer for the stereo and a black tachometer mounted next to a QuickSilver shifter for the automatic transmission. Pop the hood and you will find a nicely dressed out 383 Stroker motor nestled down into a nicely detailed out engine bay. A polished cross flow air filter feeds a Holley carburetor and an aluminum GM high rise intake manifold. Aftermarket aluminum heads are capped by black valve covers which work well with the black fire wall and inner fenders letting the chrome accessories like the alternator, brake booster, and master cylinder shine. Shorty headers wind their way out the bottom to a Flowmaster exhaust system and eventually those rectangular tips at the rear, and an aluminum radiator with electric fans keeps things running cool. Power is sent back through a 3-speed automatic transmission with a 3500-stall speed converter to the rear wheels mounted on leaf springs. The front is a control arm setup on coil springs with a beefy sway bar for improved handling and power front disc brakes to haul the car back down after a high-speed run. A great looking classic with serious power and a comfortable custom interior. Come on down and check it out.
