Car description

1976 Chevrolet Laguna S-3. Original slant nose S-3 version. Extremely rare and hard to find. This version only produced two years (for NASCAR) in 75/76. Numbers matching, $81K actual miles, original L65 350 CI, although it has a 4-barrel instead of the 2 barrel, and some other motor mods. Has the original rally hub cap wheels and louvered back windows and white factory top. In 1997 the car had the quarterpanels replaced and repainted the original blue. I cannot explain how nice of a car this is. No rust on the frame, or at the bottom of the doors (common). The body has no dents or blemishes. Only minor surface scratches that are easily removed. There is absolutely no bondo on this car. A magnet will stick anywhere on it! The interior is in very good shape but does need some dash work. It has a black dash cover over it for now as the corners of the dash are damaged. No tears or rips in the seats or any other part. All the S-3 Logos are in place, even the one on the glove box. Car has factory AC and it is all there however it does not blow cold. I have not investigated. I did do some work to this car two years ago which included new: tires, headers, dual exhaust, misc. engine gaskets, carb kit, electronic choke, master cylinder, cruise control. Basically got the car running well. This car has been in the family since new and purchased straight off the showroom in 1976. For the better part of the last 6 years it has been in storage. Once I got the car 3 years ago, I did the work mentioned above and has been back in storage for most of that. The car needs to be appreciated and not stored.
Buyer is responsible for pick up, shipping or any associated costs. I have the car listed locally so at any given time I can remove the add. I have more information and stories on this car that I would be happy to share if you want to give me a call.I am open to that.605-351-8678 Mike.

First time (and probably the only) time I will sell a car on ebay so my apologies on some items that could of been in the first description. They were not left out for any other reason other than I am "green" at this. Thank you for the MANY phone calls and messages of interest about the car and also some pointers as well and insight I really didn't know. They really help. So based on some questions in those conversations, I wanted to recap them and provide a few more details.
- Starts excellent, no smoke on startup, no smoke during running or driving. Starter was actually replaced a couple years ago before I brought the car home. When the above work was performed about a year ago, the engine was thoroughly checked, compression and other checks. I had given the mechanic free reign to rebuild the motor (if needed) and he said he wouldn't touch it that it was solid.
- There are chrome/black strips on each side. Two of these pieces are missing the black inserts. I have found these online and they are cheap.
- AC doesn't blow cold - I have never investigated but variable speeds/fans work, etc... I do know the compressor has been changed in the mid 2000's.
- Cruise control does work - One of the items I had fixed about a year ago.
- Yes, all four brakes/drums/master cylinder all replaced. Emergency brake works great. I am simply impressed of how this car stops and brakes.
- I don't know a lot about this but there is a bumper filler panel on the back. Maybe three piece? Anyway, the long top is there an in excellent shape. The two side pieces are not there. This is the gap between the bumper on the back and the rear quarter. I just now did a quick check online and looks like they are available
- There are no dents or scratches through the clear coat in the paint or that can be caught with your finger nail. There are some blemishes however they are easily removed with some buffing. You can look down the side of this car and there are no waves, or imperfections. The guy who did the body work and repainted did a simply great job. And yes I was telling the truth, a magnet will stick anywhere on this car. It was done right.
- No rust inside the trunk compartment or underneath the driver or passenger seats. I cannot find any rust on this car anywhere.
- The car has never been wrecked or in an accident.
- Car was bought in 1976 new from my dad, sold to his best friend in the 80's then repurchased a few years later by my Dad and has been in the family since. So there is another owner in there but we know where he works and all about him. LOL
- I simply cannot think of anything else on this car BUT PLEASE call if you have questions or want more details. 605-351-8678 (Mike) I also have no issues recording videos of the car, running, idling or whatever you would like to see.
