Car description

Very nice High Performance 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z28 for sale with 74,389 miles. This is the 20th year anniversary of the Camaro. I have owned this car for 13 years and have put less than 7,000 miles on it and it has always been garage kept, stored winters and only driven in the rain twice since I have had it. It was factory undercoated, there is no filler on this car and no rust on the body and no cracks on the dash. Everything works on the car except the trip odometer.
The IROC has PS, PB, T-Tops, Tilt Wheel, 4 wheel disc brakes (rears are 11" slotted), factory driving lights, AC Delete, Factory manual tinted windows, N94 aluminum spare tire, 1LE aluminum drive shaft, Rear Window Defogger, 4 inch rise latching fiberglass cowl hood (original matching IROC hood included - see pictures), Racing Seats, mats and pedal covers, Rear spoiler, Autometer shift light with pill kit, Crane Hi-6 ignition, High ignition coil, curved MSD 85551 distributor, Accel Sprial 300+ race spark plug wires, manual switch electric fan control on console, IROC 145 MPH speedometer with full gauge package, JVC FM/CD Stereo with triax speakers in back and coax in the front, Rear window louver, Rear GTO tail light covers.
The stock anemic 215HP LB9 305 TPI was pulled and replaced with a dynamically balanced and blueprinted period correct Gen 1 roller forged 383 stroker with over 500 HP (Forged steel crank, 6" forged H beam rods, KB forged aluminum light weight flat top CNC pistons, Durabond cam bearings, King HP rod and main bearings, ARP bolts, exhaust ported Canfield 23550 aluminum heads 2.08/1.60 values with 5 angle valve job and hardened valve seats, 65 CC combustion chambers, 1.45" diameter dual valve springs, .080 thick wall Comp Cams pushrods, Aluminum 1.5 ratio roller rockers on ARP 7/16" studs, Edelbrock brushed aluminum tall valve covers, Mighty Demon double pump 825 carb with 1:1 secondary link and rear jet extensions, Fuel pressure gauge, Hurricane high rise aluminum intake with 2" spacer, custom ground billet Predator solid roller cam (.570/.575 lift and .280/.286 duration), PBM solid roller lifters, Melling M55HV oil pump, Holley black electric fuel pump, 3 port fuel regulator, Cloyes double roller steel timing chain, Chrome timing chain cover, Hooker 2210 Super Competition 1.75" diameter long tube headers with 3" exhaust pipes, BBK aluminum under drive pulleys, Moroso chrome drop air cleaner. The valve lash was set per the cam card specs just 20 miles ago.

The stock 3.45 ratio GM Holden 9 bolt rear end was replaced with a much stronger nodular iron Moser Ford 9" with 4.71 gears, Ford big bearings, Strange F35 full steel racing spool and Moser 35 spline custom alloy axles. It has sub frame connectors and solid tubular rear control arms and panhard bar both with poly bushings, Stage 2 hydraulic racing clutch, and the Borg Warner 5 speed T-5 transmission (rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago) includes a Pro 5.0 shifter (stock shifter included too). The engine and rear end were brand new 2,000 miles ago and the RWL Dunlop GT Qualifier 50 series tires have less than 5,000 miles on them. The sale includes an extra pair of 3" bolt on catalytic converters with cherry bomb glass pack mufflers, MSD curve kit, and any other spare parts I have.

I have a video of the car idling which I can provide upon request and I have, and can provide, the Hagerty report showing the value of this car in good condition at $12,800 (plus 10% for the T-Tops). I have a clear title in hand and encourage prospective Buyers to ask questions and come and inspect the car before purchasing as all sales will be final.
Terms of Sale: $500 non-refundable payment via Paypal due within 24 hours of auction end. Balance due with 3 business days in cash or certified bank check. If paying by certified bank check, the IROC will remain in my possession until the check clears my bank. I will store the car for up to 2 weeks at no cost to buyer and will assist your shipper with loading the car, hood and spare parts.
