Car description

If you don't have the money or aren't going to buy the car, please don't bid. It's a hassle to relist the car and get my listing fees back.
C3 Corvettes are expensive to maintain. The trick to buying one is to get one that doesn't need the ungodly expensive stuff. The stuff that this car needs is readily available and relatively cheap and easy to install. You experienced Corvette guys will be nodding you head and thinking,"That's good" as you read down my description. You noobs are going to wonder what it all means. If you email me with a question I'll explain it to you.
Here we go. Original engine. Probably the original transmission and frame. Haven't checked the transmission number yet. The rear frame number is missing and there's no way to check the front frame number without lifting the body. Still has these original items, exhaust with catalytic converter, rivets in the rotors, original carb with the covers still on the idle mixture screws, smog pump, jack and handle. Just surface rust on frame. Rear swing arm bearings good. Stub axles good. The bottom of the front cross member isn't caved in. Tach works. Power antenna works. Power mirrors work, Headlights work, no cracks in headlight doors nor frames. Just rebuilt stainless sleeved O-ring brake calipers. No brake leaks. No power steering leaks. Wheels are nice. No cracks in the LOF mirrored glass T-top panels but there is some spotting that doesn't wash off with soap and water. The left one has about a 4" scratch. Power windows work slowly. The seats look like they have been recovered and refoamed, the foam isn't all ass-smashed. Now the bad. Needs painted. The body needs block sanded down to the gelcoat and primed with epoxy primer. Never use paint stripper on a Corvette; it soaks into the fiberglass. Needs new carpet, door panels, armrests, weatherstrips, storage compartment lidsand a bunch of other stuff. Dash is cracked. Tires are garbage. Wipers work on high and low but not delay. power door locks don't work. This isn't by any means all that's wrong with the car. The best thing about the car is you can put new tires on it and drive it while you can buy the things it needs paycheck-by-paycheck. The farthest I've driven the car is about a 40 mile round trip. Runs good. If you want me to take a picture of something, let me know. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction and cancel all bids.
