Car description

1952 GMC Advance Design Half Ton Short Bed 5 Window Pickup Truck. Remarkably original and rare truck. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder.
This GMC Advance Design 5 Window is particularly unusual being a Canadian sourced truck. In Canada the GMC's of this era did not use a GMC motor as their US counterparts did. They used the same Chevrolet Stovebolt 6 as found in the Chevrolet trucks of this era. The floorboards are decent for one of these suffering with the usual corrosion found at the edges where the floor joins the A pillars. But overall they are impressively solid for one of these Advance design GM trucks. There are very few farm work related dents as with most of these old un-restored trucks, it is a pretty straight example. The GMC tailgate is in very nice condition. The original wooden bed floor is partially missing due to deterioration through age. One hood emblem is missing but I may be able to source this on my travels before the auction ends, alternatively used examples and reproductions are readily available for the new buyer. It has a nice patina if that is what you are looking for. Overall this is a good example of the very hard to find and desirable 5 window GMC Half Ton truck from the Advance Design era.
The interior is complete and in respectable condition for its age other than a cut in the drivers door panel possibly made by a farmer to repair a window regulator or door handle mechanism in the past. The piece he has cut is inside the cab so could easily be repaired if you know how to weld.
Mechanically this truck is complete but does not run and doesn't look to have ran in many years.
I can not emphasize enough how impressive this find is. Seldom do we find half ton un-restored 5 window GMC trucks of this era, they're very few and far between and far less common than the 3 window Chevrolet's. Bid with confidence and feel free to message with any questions. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder.

who we are and what we do

We are two brothersthat seek out original trucks and cars fromall acrossCanada specializing in vehicles from the 40s, 50s and 60s.

We started heading North to source these vehicles several years ago due to the severe lack of such vehicles in the US in recent times due to our huge car culture. Most American barn finds have long been found and tampered with by several owners yet North of the border there still seems to be an abundance of good solid original vehicles waiting to be brought back to life.

We make these great vehicles available to the US market by importing them into the US and providing all required paperwork to acquire a Clear US Title in your own name in your home State.

We also specialize insourcing Mercuryand Fargo trucks and have successfully imported and found new homes for dozens of fine original examples.

We are passionate about finding the best thatthere is and understand that our customers want to see automobiles that have not been tampered with; the more original, the better.

Our inventory is regularly updated, as new finds are unearthed. If there is something specific that you are looking for, then let us know and we'd be happy to see if we can help.

The business we conduct is straightforward and honest. Whether you're looking for something that'sall original, a starting point for a restoration project orsolid bones for a custom build, Bison Brothers will deliver.
