Not a whole lot of history on this one. I found it in a little closed up auto shop in central CA. The owner still keeps the location for storage and personal projects and decided this one was taking up too much space. He took it in several years ago for a transmission rebuild and a list of other small mechanical and cosmetic issues. Long story short. he ended up buying it from his customer in the end. Truck is just about a 50/50 mix of original and new. Paint is a beautiful two stage correct to original '70 Dark Gold with GM white top. Interior looks to be mostly original Ivory Saddle Deluxe. I wouldn't call it a total restoration. but more a truck that has been well owned. and lightly used. getting what it needed along the way in maintenance and cosmetics. Runs fantastic and given the condition of the interior. 68. 91 miles could be original. Really runs good. and strong. Trans is newly rebuilt and shifts perfectly. No excessive (if any to the ground) leaks from either. Dual exhaust sounds great (brief video of tailpipes for sound at idle below). Brakes are also newly rebuilt and stop smooth and true with no grinding or pulling. Power steering is smooth and easy with no issues. Truck is geared well for modern driving. and can achieve today's freeway speeds with ease (70mph @ approx. 2800 rpm according to the guage cluster tach). while tracking down the road straight with no wind wandering or extensive play in the steering. Everything in the interior works except the original radio which turns on but has no sound (could likely just need it's original speaker replaced). All the cabin and dash lights work including all gauges. dome. underdash. heat/air controler and gear selection indicator. Blinkers. tilt. horn. wipers. all gauges (including tach and gas). high / low beam switch. etc. etc. nbsp;all work perfectly. Heat. defrost AND A/C work in all 3 fan speeds (there is a manual shut off valve built into the heater core hose that aids in cooler a/c temps when shut). Great crack free original dash. Nice. tear free. original seat. Original carpet is even in better than average condition for it's age. with the exception of a few entry point wear related stains and discoloration from the use of floor mats. Under dash is clean and sanitary. Fit and finish is very nice with great body gaps. Doors open and close flawlessly. Excellent original deluxe window stainless trim. All glass is perfect. Windows roll up and down smoothly and many cab seals are new. having been replaced as needed along the way. Wing windows operate smoothly and without issue. Cab is very tight with minimal wind noise at speed. Inside bed is consistent with light duty. Minor dings and scrapes. but very straight. Amazing tailgate. laser straight inner sides and perfect behind the cab panel. Original owners manual. jack. jack arm and bed mat included. DRD Motor Trade is a licensed bonded California dealer.
