Car description

Up for sale is a vehicle that can wet the appetite of any muscle car enthusiast out there. This frame-off restored 1970 Chevrolet Nova is a street legal. street driven machine where no expense has been spared in order to provide the best looks and driving experience available for a car with this kind of horsepower. Although the power and torque this vehicle is capable of is impressive it has been built to be driven on the roads and is actually a very reliable. street driven vehicle. It has never been raced on a track and has been driven on several long trips to many shows in the area. It never disappoints and always draws a crowd anywhere it goes. As stated earlier. the car was taken off the frame and completely taken down to bare metal to ensure there were no issues with the paint. The frame was upgraded to a pro-street set up in order to be able to withstand the amount of horsepower this car produces and to also accept the tubbed rear end. The car and frame were painted the beautiful red color that it now maintains. The under side of this car is as pretty as the body. Take a look at the undercarriage photos and you can see the detail and care that was taken in restoring this car. The rear end has been fully tubbed to allow wider tires in the rear end. All of the weld seams were filled so the frame appears totally smooth and weld free. The interior was fully restored also to not only provide looks that accent the vehicle paint but also to provide safety and comfort. When the paint job was complete I had the custom designed "Rat Fink" that you see on the trunk lid professionally airbrushed on. As you can see it is beautifully done and really sets the car off. The "Just Having Fun" on the rear end is a sticker and can be easily removed if the buyer does not want it. The full roll cage has been painted the car color and the four point harnesses provide safety for the driver and passenger. The custom instrument cluster includes brand new gauges which really highlight the interior. Once the body was complete the restoration moved to the mechanical side. Only the best parts were put into this build to ensure the reliability and strength needed to maintain a vehicle with this kind of power. The suspension is made up of QA1 Coil Overs front and back along with ladder bars. The rear end is a GM housing with spooled Moser 3. 73 gear ratio with Dana axles that ensure a solid hook up and a very streetable ride. A vehicle of this size and weight needs to stop so power front disc brakes were installed and are more than capable of stopping this vehicle when the need arises. The vehicle was professionally re-wired so that there were no issues with old wiring. The vehicle is supplied fuel by an aluminum fuel cell. The motor that is in this vehicle is a thing of beauty. The basic information on the motor is that it is a Chevrolet 454 4 bolt main that has been line bored . 60 over which makes it a 468. The supercharger is an Weiand 8-71 and the motor is supplied fuel by TWO 950cfm Holley double pumper carburetors. The exhaust note is provided by ceramic-coated headers feeding into 3" Flowmaster 40 mufflers. The motor is cooled by a Be Cool cross flow aluminum radiator which has no issues cooling this vehicle in any driving conditions. The transmission is a reverse pattern TCI Turbo 350 with a Hurst shifter rated to 1000 Horsepower with manual shift capabilities. The convertor is a 3500-stall TCI. It is also equipped with a trans-brake and a supplemental transmission cooler. As stated earlier. the parts used for the motor were only the best parts and include the following: D Cupped Forged Pistons with H-Beam Rods Steel Crank Childs and Albert Gapless Rings True Double Roller Chain Milodon 8 Quart Oil Pan with Windage Tray and Melling High Volume Oil Pump Isky Hydraulic Roller Cam GM Aluminum Rectangular Port Heads which have been ported and polished Stainless Steel Valves Roller Rockers. Comp Stud Girdles. Hardened Push Rods Weiand 8-71 Supercharger with 2 950cfm double pumper Holley Carburetors Hilborn Air Cleaner Aeromotive Electronic Fuel Pump and Regulator This motor is currently producing approximately 800 Horsepower on 93-octane pump gas. It provides a great driving experience on regular cruises and of course has all the horsepower you could ever want if you want to get into it during a cruise. The only reason for selling is that I am looking to get into a 1930’s 3 window or 5 window coupe. If you have one these or other some other hot rod/street rod vehicle I may be willing to trade. My reserve price is set at about half the amount it cost to build a vehicle like this. I did not build it to make money I built it to enjoy it and I have enjoyed it for several years. I am just looking for a change. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them. You can message me through eBay and I will get back to you promptly or you can call me at 315-941-9280. I will do my best to answer any questions you have or if you have an interesting trade we can talk about that too. TERMS OF THE AUCTION: The winning bidder will have to provide a $500. 00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction’s end to secure the vehicle unless previous arrangements are made with me prior to the end of the auction. Please do not bid if you do not have the funds available to purchase this vehicle. I do not have time for dreamers and please keep in mind that these auctions through eBay cost money to run so serious bidders only please. If you have 0 or negative feedback your bids will be deleted unless you contact me first to ensure you are a serious buyer. My eBay feedback speaks for itself. I am a trusted eBay seller and have sold several cars on here with no issues. I go above and beyond to make sure the winning bidder has a pleasant buying experience and I do my best to assist with shipping arrangements. The car is being sold as is with no warranty implied. The winning bidder of this car is going to get a real street machine for about half the cost of what it would be to build a car like this. Good luck!
