Car description

This is a unique custom Corvette.

1) The customization was performed in ‘74/’75

2) This car is unrestored and has the same paint from the original customization project

3) Customization was performed in Ohio by American Customs

4) This '73 corvette was featured in a popular Corvette Book published in 1978. "A Piece of the Action; Corvette"... Pictures of the book with the photos of this car are included in this ad... The book will be thrown into the deal!

5) This car is in the original condition (body and paint) from that customization in 1974

6) The car arrived in Texas approx. 1978, it had the original 350 motor at that time. -

  • I was told by the previous owner that sometime in pastseveral years (Best I can tell, would have been between approx. 2002 and the date I bought the car in 2012)the motor was replaced with a 327 Small Block from a 68 vette (I cannot absolutely confirm this without some disassembly, the 350 and 327 look identical. If I am able to confirm this, I will update this post, the best info I have is that this is a 327 small block)

7) The car was in storage for 20+ years form early 80's till early 2000's and has been a Show car in recent years in Texas (and always receives a lot of attention at local car shows). It runs very well and is mechanically sound.

8) The car is wicked fast, but I cannot confirm the HP (it's been a show car for long while) . Based on input from previous owner, indicates the HP is well over 300HP, but I have no real evidence of actual HP.

9) The collectability of these early customizations is growing and this is a very sharp looking, well maintainedvette that runs well (andthe motorsounds great!).

This is a unique, one of a kind car, and always will be and has a place in corvette history, immortalizedin the book "A Piece of the Action; Corvette".

I hate to sell it, but I am hopeful to get it into the hands of a collector that can appreciate the customartistry from a bygone 70's era. The car runs very well, and is in very good condition. Great pains have been taken to maintain the car and paint in original "customized" condition (granted there are signs of wear and tear in the 45 year old paint job and the interior). Looks great from 10 feet (and very good up close), and the engine compartment is dressed out nicely

The motor is not 370 HP (not sure why I cannot update that header). Actual HP is unknown
