Car description

This is a nice original, honest, unmolested car.I have known this car personally my entire life, an older neighbor of mine growing up bought this carusedin 1987 from Lucas Chevrolet in Stayton, Oregon which is about 10 miles from where the car spent it's entire life and he took VERY good care of it. He prized this car and kept it under a carport with a cover on it and only drove it during the warm summer months and to take summer trips to Florida. In roughly 2010-2012 when he was getting older he decided to take off the cover and drive it daily, as he explained to me "to relive his youth"
There are several HD photos below - if you have slow internet please allow time for them to download...
I bought the car from his estate in 2016 and completed some simple maintenance and upgrades to it during the time I have owned it.
Here are the basic facts, pro's and con's of the car as well as the parts I have installedsince I have owned the car:
Pros:
3 owners since new

2nd owner had the car from 1987-2016.

Only 112K ACTUAL miles!

Real deal IROC-Z / Z-28 / TPI Car

Newer tires

Fresh front end alignment and front end inspection. Les Schwab gave it a clean bill of health for front end and brakes.

Engine runs excellent - Very strong engine, it will chirp the tires in the 1-2 shift.

New battery

New TPS and wiring harness

New fuel filter

New air filters
New trunk pull down motor

New trunk pull down relay

REBUILT trunk pull down switch.

Seats are in excellent shape, rear seats were never sat in since the 2nd owners children were grown when he bought the car
Interior is in completely original condition aside from a CD player (which I do not have the faceplate to)
Still has factory T-top bag strapped in trunk and straps are in good shape (see pics)
The car even has the original GM floor mats that came with the car and they are in good shape! See pictures
Transmission shifts into gear quickly and crisp firm shifts between gears.
Original paint, never been wrecked per the 2nd owner and my personal recollection.
Original and correct wheels for the car are on it.
Clean/clear title in my name
Cons:

* The car has the typical clear coat peeling on the trunk, hood and T-tops that these IROC's are prone to. But otherwise the paint shines nicely. The issue only seems to effect the top of the cars surfaces, not the sides/doors. Please review pics

* Headliner is in decent shape and is not all torn up. There is a couple of small areas by the drivers side that's worn through near the very edges, I assume from peoples fingers/hat catching the edges near the t-top and visor over the years. Otherwise, it is typical condition for the era.

* There is a small adhesive spot on the dash from where one of those compasses that everyone installed in the 80's used to be. I was able to clean most of it off but there's a little sign where it still needs some work, I just didn't want to carried away with it because it isn't really that bad and I didn't want to mess it up with harsh cleaners.

* there are a couple minor cracks in the door panel plastic that are typical of the IROC's but they aren't really too noticeable unless you're looking for them

* There is a crack/tear in console lid from where your elbow rests. see pictures.
* The car does have normal knicks/chips that you would expect from a car of this age that has been driven. please review pictures.
* The T-top seals should be replaced if you intend to remove them frequently, however I have taken the car through the car wash and I haven't seen any leaks at all. Just typical age related pushing out where the side window rolls up.

I havenotgone crazy with detailing the car, it is a clean unmolested original car that has normal wear and tear but is well preserved as an original. It's far from perfect but it is one of the most honest, untamperedwith IROC's that I have seen. A little love here and there and you will have an excellent example of an iconic 80's muscle car.I seriously considered having the car repainted but I just didn't have the heart to mess with it, I will leave that for the next owner should they decide to bring it back to showroom perfect.
I really do not want to sell this car however I have a decent sized car collection and I am moving... Therefore I must sell a few cars as moving all of them is overwhelming!
