Car description

History The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-sized automobile which was produced by Chevrolet in three generations for the 1964 through 1978 model years. Part of the General Motors (GM) A-Body platform, the Chevelle was one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. 1969 Chevelles were billed as "America's most popular mid-size car." They showed only minor changes for 1969, led by revised front-end styling. Why This Car Is Special Yenko Chevrolet was a Chevrolet dealership in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania that was best known for selling customized muscle cars in the late 1960s. Referred to today as "Yenkos," they are among the most collectible 1960s vehicles. Yenko transplanted Chevrolet's 427 cubic inch 425 horsepower L-72 engine along with other high-performance parts and created the Yenko Camaro and Yenko Chevelle. These Yenkos go for over six figures if you can find one for sale. Mechanical Specs Our Yenko Tribute even has a real 427 Cubic Inch Big Block in it. It is a correct #3935439 block used with all 1968 big block engines and early 1969 ones with an engine suffix IL which shows it to be a 390hp Big Block and mated to a 4-speed transmission, which it has. The 427 sits in a very clean and detailed engine bay with correct hoses, GM correct tower clamps, Power Steering, Power Brakes, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, and Holley four barrel on the factory cast iron intake. The 427 is backed by a 4 Speed manual transmission, Hurst shifter, and white Hurst Shifter Ball and the power goes to the rear which is a Chevy 12 bolt with ladder bars too. Exterior The new Red paint job is set off by the correct 427 Yenko badges and correct Yenko stripe kit on the hoods, trunk, and sides. It is a rust free Arizona car that also has new chrome bumpers and trim. It rides on period correct Cragar SS mags and BF Goodrich Radial TA tires. Interior The red matching vinyl interior really stands out in this red Chevelle especially when you see the correct Yenko badging on the headrests, and the red headliner. It does also have the correct chrome console with the above-mentioned Hurst Shifter as well as floor mats, factory seatbelts, and a stereo radio system and speakers.
