Car description

The 50s and the 60s were a time of beautifully styled cars with lots of chrome. Its almost counter intuitive, but if you take away most of that chrome jewelry, you can see the clean lines and styling of the car even better. Check out the clean look of this awesome Red Biscayne.
The side view of the car is stunning in its red paint. The lines start high in the front, with the line dividing the top and side staying straight, carrying through to the very back of the car. The line down the side tapers down gradually, staying just above the fender wells. The rear fender cuts down low over those massive rear wheels and tapers back from there for a really great look. A curved front windshield seems to flow right around the edge along with the body, and the rear window does the same thing, only more dramatically. Of course, there is some chrome on this car. The front and rear bumpers shine like new and some polished metal appears on the door handles, mirrors, and tail light surrounds. Finish off the look with Chevrolet script on the hood, Biscayne script on the rear fenders, and crossed flags on the trunk for a great, and definitely clean look.
Open the door and you will find black and white houndstooth dressing out the door panels with the top and bottoms trimmed in black. The split bench seat in the front gets the same houndstooth treatment with the black dividing the sides and along the top. Red paint carries through from the outside of the car to the dashboard which gives it a nice polished look. The steering column is also red until it gets to the shifter for the automatic trans and the three spoke black and chrome steering wheel. The speedometer and basic gauges are set in the upper dash and a Straight Line Tuning Am radio sits off to the right with a CD player mounted in the glove box. A set of Equus white faced gauges are mounted under the dash to more accurately monitor oil, temp, and battery functions to make sure your ride stays running strong. And don't hesitate to invite your friends along for the ride on cruise night, because the back seat is as big and comfortable as the front. The more the merrier!
Pop the hood on this car and you will find a neat and clean engine compartment too. It houses a 350-cubic inch engine that has been warmed over with a Performer EPS intake manifold and Holley 4-bbl carburetor. That is topped off with a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner housing, and there is also a set of chrome valve covers adding a splash of flash to the engine bay. There is an aluminum radiator with electric fans to keep things running cool, along with new belts and hoses. The engine breathes out through cherry bomb style mufflers, and power flows back through a 2 speed Powerglide transmission. The rear suspension is a trailing link set up with coil springs and a nice sway bar to keep things under control when you cut that engine loose through those massive Coys alloy wheels and 275/45R20 rear tires. Up front, 215/55R17 wheels and tires give the car that awesome staggered look.
