Car description

This custom 1953 Bel Air Hardtop is a new, professional build that started in Grants Pass Oregon, and finished by a popular hot rod & speed shop in Florida. It's taken 3 years to get to where it's at.

More available, please ask if interested.
Car is 95% complete. Everything is included to finish. It needs a new windshield installed. Side glass needs cleaned up (has some overspray from the paint shop) and the door glass needs cut 3". Once the glass is all done, the exterior window trim needs put back on. A new windshield and ALL original trim is included with the purchase. This includes the side trim that was removed. If you prefer to have the side trim installed, it's all there. I preferredthe clean, no trim look, but whoever puts the finishing touches on this beautifulride has the choice.
  • 541 HP 427 DART motor (runs EXCELLENT and sounds mean)
  • Sanderson headers
  • Holley Quickfuel 4 bbl Carb
  • Champion 4 core aluminum Radiator
  • B&M (special built) turbo 350
  • B&M 2400 Stall converter
  • Scat flex plate
  • New driveshaft

  • Heidts Mustang 2 complete front suspension setup
  • New power Booster and master cylinder
  • 4 wheel disk brakes. All new brake lines.

  • Holley Electric hi volume fuel pump with 21 Gallon Mustang gas tank
  • Flaming river tilt steering column (Chrome)
  • Dakota digital analog dash panel
  • New Headlights, Packard taillight lenses, all new bulbs
  • New bumpers front and rear. New wheels and tires (20" rear, 17" up front)
  • New Posi super slide leaf springs. Shocks also new.
  • AutoLoc door poppers with 2 remotes
  • Lokar oval gas pedal assembly and brake pedal (large)
  • SoCal speedshop dash knobs

  • Fresh, brand new House of Kolors Gloss Black. A ton of effort and time was put into this body and it shows. Paint is absolutely show quality. Paint completed December 2017/January 2018.
  • Original trim was removed and holes were filled in with lead. No bondo.
  • Car was taken to bare metal. 3” chopped top, all rust removed. New panels welded in place, where needed.
  • Packard Tail lights. New lenses are included (the one's in the pictures look a bit rough, I have a new set that will go with the car)
  • Interior is new and was installed in late 2016. Color is white and teal, traditional tuck and roll. Retro style.
  • Frenched headlights (trim included but not yet installed)
Freshly Chromed Original Pieces include the following:
  • Speaker Grill with ashtray delete
  • Glove box
  • Gauge Bezel
  • Dash corner piece
(whole dash looks great with the new black paint and fresh chrome pieces)
  • NEW bumpers, front and rear
  • Restored original 1953 Bel Air grill. All pieces including mounting hardware. Fresh chrome. Grill hasn't yet been installed but is included with the car.

Car Needs:
  • Carpet was new in late 2016. After all the paint and body work, it is a bit dirty.
  • No heat, no AC, no radio. My personal preference--I didn't plan on installing any of these items. But just so the buyer is aware of what the car has/doesn't have.
  • The trunk is not upholstered. Cardboard panel kit is included. Sides and rear seat. (brand new)
  • The vent windows will need attention. Either re-chrome or paint/powder coat. They're functional but need a cosmetic restore.
  • The cardboard backing on the 2 interior door panels could use some attention. Simply replace the backing, the vinyl is excellent.
The most current pictures are of the car painted black. The grey primer pictures are for referencein regards to the trim pieces that come with the car. Other miscellaneousphotos to show the motor, drive train, ect.
I personally did not build the car but have owned it for over a year and am very familiar with it. It's an absolute blast to drive. No issues at all, you could drive it cross country (the exhaust is loud, it's more of a street cruiser). I live and work overseas and have only had the opportunity to drive it 300-400 miles cruising the streets while home on vacation. That's approximately what it has on it since being finished mechanically. Never abused, never raced. Not even a single burnout (seriously).
This is a frame off, nut and bolt restore. The mechanical parts listed above are NEW, not rebuilt (except the motor build). This is a great opportunity for someone to get a deal on a car that has had a TON of time, money, and care put into it.
Just finish the glass, install the trim, and you're ready to go. Basically a few weekends in the garage.
I have a lot of picturesfrom the build. Have a couple recent videos as well. Please contact me for more info. This hot rod sounds, runs, and drives amazing.
Reason for selling? I live and work overseas and simply don't have the time to enjoy it, or finish it. Surely I've missed some details, but bottom line this is a professional build, lots of time and money put into it. Needs very minor finishing that a weekend warrior could tackle. Sky is the limit with this custom ride!
The car has over $30k in parts alone. Not including the labor for all the mechanical work, plus body and paint.
Clear 1953 Chevy title in hand, ready to go. No liens, no issues.
I'll assist with shipping in any way I can, but ultimately it's the buyer's responsibility. Inspections welcome. Please contact me for the car's location. Any questions please ask. Please, only serious buyers. Asking price is much less than what I have in the car. It's basically where I need to be to sell. If the car doesn't bring what it needs to price wise, I'll hang on to it. Serious & reasonable offers considered. Thanks!
