Car description

The owner is not interested in trades for this vehicle. This is a turn-key. drive it now vehicle - ready to go! It would easily cost 2-3 times the asking prices to build a car to this level. This is not an absolute show car and has some defects on the paint from age. but it is an absolute fun car to drive. attention getting. and presents itself very well. Feel free to contact the shop to see it in person. Detail shots of blemishes on car can be requested via email. Side exhaust has since been removed and rerouted to exit the rear of the car. _________________________________________________________________________________1955 Chevrolet Bel Air - Car recently moved to Ohio with owner and has been stored in California since build350/350TH - Engine has a Holley double pumper carburetor of unknown size and a nice sounding camshaft. Owner had the car built in California and does not know the specifics of the camshaft or carburetor. He told us it is a crate Vortec truck engine of 1990's origin. The transmission does have a stall converter and seems to be in the 2500-3000 rpm range. and shifts nicely. firmer under hard acceleration. Front suspension has tubular upper control arms and a power disc brake conversion and power steering. It has a ladder bar/coil over rear suspension with a 12 bolt posi rear axle. Hooker super competition headers and a 3 inch exhaust system. Centerline Convo-Pro wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires on the front and BF Goodrich Drag Radials on the rear. The interior is very nice with a late model front seat with seat belts and arm rests. The dash has AutoMeter gauges and a nice Pioneer Stereo CD player. The AC is R134 and works great. The car also has a Ron Francis wiring harness and a tilt steering column. The trunk is finished with the battery and a larger fuel cell (fuel gauge does work). There is also a master kill switch under the rear bumper. The owner also stated that this was a former drag race car in Southern California. This car runs strong and drives excellent. It is an older build and showing some age. but overall a solid car. The paint does have cracks in a few areas - please see pictures. Additional photos are available upon request or visit The Chariot Shop on FacebookCar will have to be transported by winning bidder. We feel the car can be driven most distances without issue. It is a running. driving car. Car is being brokered by The Chariot Shop for the owner and can answer any questions regarding the quality of vehicle.
