Car description

1968 CHEVROLET CAMARO SS350 (clone)
Here is your chance to pick up were we left off on this clean 68 Camaro!! We planned on finishing this Camar, but other projects and things are getting in the way. It has been put on the side burner . The previous owner stated the car is out of dry Las Vegas Nevada and has only been up in the N.W for 4-5 yrs. The car has a healthy 350 small block with a mild camshaft,Edelbrock intake,Edelbrock carb,MSD billet distributorand ignition box. Motor runs reallystrong with a nice lumpy idle. No weird noises or smoke. The transmission is a B&M crate TH350 with a shift kit and small stall converter. The rear end is a 10bolt with what I would guess to be 3.73 gears. The car has a completley new power disc brake system and the entire front end has been rebuilt!! Also has full length headers and a 2/ 1/2 inch dual exhaust systemwith Flowmasters. Sounds great. Brand new fuel tank, sending unit and fuel lines. I drove the car back to my shop from over a hour away. The things I noticed is that the headlights we not working right and the turn signals were acting funny . So I bought a factory style front harness that covers the motor and headlights. (needs to be installed). I also bought a new factory style tail light harness(that needs to be installed). Other things i noticed was that the wiper motor was gone. So I also have a new one (that needs to be installed. The body is really straight and solid for its age. The previous owner did the paint job and has some minor blem's here and ther, but overall shines up great and looks good for a driver type car. I also purchased a whole new Super Sport 350 emblem kit whichincludes all the Camaro emblems and SS gas cap. A few of the emblems still need to be installed. The quarters look to be original and solid. The floors are all original and solid as are the fenders, rear window valance and other common areas. Probably helped being a Nevada car its whole life. I have the rear window trim as well.also all new grill and grill trim. The interior has been 85% restored with new deluxe front seat covers, new deluxe door panels, new carpet kit,new headliner, new console and steering wheel. The back seat is original but has a few sun cracks on the top part. As you can see this is a semi project car. With a little elbow grease and a weekend or two you could have a really nice driver quality first generation Camaro! As you can see the engine compartment could use a nice detail as could the trunk. It is solid it just got sprayed with some coating that flaked off and should be redone. The prices have really went crazy over the past years with the first generation Camaro's . Seems these days your hard pressed to find a non running project for $10k? Hence the reason I purchased the car. I have other projects going that are taking precedenceover this car so here is your chance to get into a decent running and driving first generation Camaro for under $20k!!
