1971 CHEVROLET CHEYENNE SHORTBOX FLEETSIDE
PATINA SHOP TRUCK!!!!
Up for auction is our beloved shop truck. This little Cheyenne turns heads were ever it goes! This truck is equipped with factory AC,Tach dash,Vacuumgaugeas well as factory bucket seats and console. The truck was completely torn down and mechanicallyrestored from the ground up. The frame was disassembled and sandblasted and then powder coated black. Then has CCP low clearancecross members,CCP trailing arms,CCP panhard ba, CCP C-notch kit, Rear Air ride,CCP transmission cross member,CCP tubular upper a-arms,CCP lower control arms, as well as springs and spindles . Also has a Redhead quick ratio power steering box. All front end suspension componentswere replaced as well. The truck has a strong 350sbc that has had the heads rebuilt as well as the carb and a few other components. Runs strong with no smoke or weird noises. The transmissionis a rebuilt 700r4 with a shift kit. The drive linewas built and balanced by Drivelines Northwest. The 12blt 3.73 posi was rebuilt by Randy's ring and pinion service. Truck has power steering and power disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. Also has factory style ram horn exhaust manifolds with a nice 2 1/2inch dual exhaustthat runs all the way out to the back bed corners with Magnaflow mufflers. New radiator, starter, alternator ect. The entire Air conditioningsystem has been restored and works great. Everything works as it should on this truck such as the A/, Tach,Vacuumgauge, oil, temp, volts, heater, wipers, all lights ect. This truck was assembled to represent the patina style that is very popular . For full disclosure the truck is not a factory Cheyenne shortbox. That beingsaid it has not been cut down or chopped into a short bed as well. It was built using a factory 1971 hugger orange C-10 Cheyenne Cab and front sheet meta, 1968 C-10 short box frame and 1968 short box fleetside bed. I have the original protecto plate/warranty card, owners manual as well as both build sheets. The truck was assembled with the whole patina theme in mind. It is sitting on 20x8 Coy's wheels in th front with 255/40/20 Toyo Proxes and 20x10 Coy's wheels in the back with 295/40/20 Toyo Proxes in the rear. The interior has been pretty much restored. The factory bucket seat were restored with new foams and still used the factory 1971 covers, new dash pad, carpet kit, headliner ect. The truck does have rust in both rocker panels and on the lower passenger fender. The core support and passenger inner wheel well are solid though. I was planning on replacing the rockers and lower fender sections and spotting then in then re-clearing the whole truck just never got there. I have other projects going and need to make some room. I have put over 6000 trouble free miles on this truck and would trust it to drive any were. If you are in the market for a super cool and reliable 67-72 Chevy short bed that you can drive every day this might be the truck for you.
