Car description

Selling a 1984 Chevy 4x4 1 ton built for the military. This truck is very heavy duty and would make a great work/ farm truck. I am currently still using it to haul wood to the house and to take trash off.
The body is in pretty fair shape. No rust pitting. There are a few dents and scratches. 1 dent is located on top of the cab and you can see the dents in the bed and the door on the passenger side in the pictures. The front plastic grille has a crack in it but not very noticeable.I replaced the rear bumper with a custom channel bumper that is very heavy duty.It has a rear hitch for towing. The truck also has light plug for pulling a trailer. The frame is in great shape, no rust, no bends.Inside the cab the dash is in fair shape with a few small cracks. The seat is beginning to rip in several places, needs to be recovered but all foam is there.Floor boards have no rust.Manual windows and door locks.Heater and all lights work.I had the truck painted with Grey industrial paint just to get rid of the OD Green. All glass is in truck, no cracks.I have 3 aftermarket gauges in the vehicle (temperature, volt meter and oil pressure)The motor:I replaced that troublesome 6.2 Diesel with an easier to crank small block Chevy 350.The motor is a stock medium duty truck 350.I was told it was a 4 bolt main. The only thing I did to the motor was replace the valve cover gaskets, put an Edelbrock Dual Plain Aluminum Intake on it. put an Edelbrock Carburetor on it, K & N Air Filter, Chevrolet Center Dump exhaust manifolds and a Flowkooler high output/ high flow waterpump and new fuel pump. Motor cranks and runs good.It has a direct drive heavy duty cooling fan.The truck still has the original Diesel 3 row radiator. The truck still has heavy duty hydroboost braking setup. The transmission is a turbo 400. I had the transmission professionally rebuilt shortly after getting the truck about 12,000 miles ago.Upon rebuilding, I had a mild shift kit installed to firm the shifts up as well as a 20,000 gvw transmission cooler installed in front of the radiator. The transfer case and axles are stock. The 1 Ton axles are geared 4.56 with a factory rear locker. The front is a Dana 60 and the rear is a Corporate 14 Bolt full floater.I added a dual steering stabilizer to the front.I recently replaced the front drag link as well. The suspension is very heavy duty and very stiff, its made to haul a lot of weight.Tire size is stock 235-85-16. The front tires are almost full tread ATs and the rear tires should be replaced before next inspection.
Things that need to be fixed:A new set of windshield wiper bladesBoth rear tiresThe oil pressure gauge is not hooked up right now. I kinked the line while under the hood, so I blocked it until I replace the line. No big deal, just haven't done it yet.The alternator belt is looking a little shabby. The fuel gauge recently stopped working. I am not sure if it is stuck or if it needs to be replaced.
This would make a great work or farm truck to pull trailers, feed cows, etc. This is a low miles truck for the year with 62631 miles as of this listing. The only reason I replaced the motor was the difficulty in cranking a diesel in cold weather and no power compared to the gas motor. This truck isn't pretty, but its tough.
