Outstanding 1956 Chevrolet Belair for your enjoyment. This car was taken to a professional body shop for restoration. Unfortunately the shop closed and abandoned the project without our knowledge. We have recently been able to recover the car and offer it for sale at this time. The condition of the car is excellent with all body work complete and in primer for a "ready to paint" condition. It has set for several years inside protected from weather so there will need to be some close inspection of the body prior to painting. The fenders, doors, inner fenders, hood, and trunk lid are also sanded smooth in primer as well. The car is currently completely disassembled and on a rotisserie. The rotisserie goes with the car. I had all the parts of the car in my possession the whole time and the body shop only had the body and body parts. So, I know that I have all the parts to the car except as follows: rear window and windshield. The engine and transmission were taken from this car when it was in good running condition and have been stored inside. The seats are still covered in original upholstery. The head liner bows are with the parts but the head liner will need replacing. The stainless has been polished. Clips for it will be needed as will rubber seals around windows, doors and heat/ventilation areas. Motor and transmission mounts will be needed. Several miscellaneous rubber or clip parts will be needed in the course of assembly. An assembly manual will go with the car showing step by step procedures. All the repair and parts manuals I have will also be included. The frame has been sand blasted and painted black by another body shop and is ready for assembly. The car is offered complete as described above from the tires to the top of the roof and everything inside. This is a great opportunity for you to own a very nice car and have the pride of assembling it. I did this very same thing with our 1956 Thunderbird and it was a lot of fun (took about six month of work all day every day) and resulted in great pride. I simply do not have time to do this one and offer it to you. Best wishes.
